Welcome to our Ratings and Review section! Lenovo appreciates all feedback whether it's good or bad. We want to make sure all customers have a superb experience!
We apologize for the inconvenience caused. We recommend utilizing our Lenovo Vantage app by making sure all of your drivers are up to date. This will ensure your system is working at optimal performance. Also, you will be able to control the bright or dimness of the screen display. Please utilize this link:
Additionally, you can use this steps: Open the Settings app from your Start menu or Start screen, select “System,” and select “Display.” Click or tap and drag the “Adjust brightness level” slider to change the brightness level.
I love the laptop. However, what could be better is the better experience in Linux OS. I'm a Linux user and the pen doesn't work well in Ubuntu 20.04. It is buggy and works only in some apps (not perfect there as well). I cannot switch to tablet mode and work fully with the pen. I need to get it back to laptop mode to do the tasks that cannot be done using the pen. I expect the same level of versatility and experience as that of the iPad (and its pen) in case of the laptop's tablet mode in Linux OS. To add to this, the fingerprint reader also doesn't seem to work in Ubuntu. All in all, I feel the Linux support (especially for the hybrid Yoga models which has the tablet mode) is poor and look forward to software updates for an iPad level of experience. Thank you.
Performs great. Runs pretty cool, especially given its size. Charges nice and quick, but battery is mediocre.
The screen colors are sharp, and contrast is great, viewing angles are wide, brightness is good enough for me, but there is a bit of ghosting when fast scrolling and watching action movies. I didn't buy the laptop for movies so that was acceptable to me, and other ThinkPads (and most IPS Ultrabooks I looked at) aren't shiners in that aspect.
Keyboard feels awesome. The feel of the keys and the click are very nice. This is my first ThinkPad and I'm super impressed. It is a bit narrow and on the smaller side, but I won't say it's tiny. My typing was clumsy at first but I'm getting used to it. The B button seems a little bit recessed which is strange. Not sure if it's a defect or not (maybe to make room for the nub).
Touchpad doesn't feel as precise as others I've used, but I'm gonna start using the nub anyway :)
Some coil whine can be heard when I put my ear to the computer, but it is inaudible when in normal use and in not dead-quiet room.
Hinges are solid and build quality is awesome. I'm definitely a ThinkPad fan now.
For the one week I had the laptop, it worked great! I only returned it because I wanted a larger monitor. However, my only concern was how incredibly hot the bottom of the laptop gets. I'm not sure if it was just my laptop, or if that's by design.
Good, but couple of issues. Screen has a bow to it, so one corner doesn't shut tightly all the way. Quality Is okay. Some keyboard keys rub and are kind of noisy
I would recommend this to a friend!
