New HR monitor is excellent, couldn't fix the old one by replacing the strap

So far so good, the new strap is working perfectly.
FYI, I bought the new strap as a replacement for a 5 year-old prior Wahoo version. I had ordered a new strap for the prior version because the monitor on the old strap was still flashing and seemed ok, but wasn't providing any blue tooth heart rate data. However, the new strap made no difference.

When it works, it works well

When it works, it works well. But about 1/2 of the time, when I begin my workout, it doesn't track my heart rate. After maybe 1/2 hour, it kicks in and works well. I have an older version of the TICKR, and it still works okay, but I wanted a second unit as backup. I do know that you need to wet the contacts to get a good signal, but with this new unit, that doesn't seem to help much until I'm deep into my workout. I haven't contacted support yet, but that's next.

I am very happy with my TICKER heart rate monitor. I have my Apple Watch and my Kicker both reading my heart rate while riding inside.

Poor quality. Unreliable.

Wholly unreliable. Routinely fails to connect to the Wahoo ELEMNT and Zwift (laptop) system. The latest of three I’ve owned was faulty in its construction with the small plastic parts in the battery compartment breaking. Not a quality product.

Good but not my favorite Strap

Easily connects to my Wahoo Elemnt Bolt V2 and my Polar Grit X watch. No need to wet electrodes to get it to function. Removed a star only because it doesn't stay in place as well as some other straps since it doesn't have grippy patches along the back of the strap, so it tends to slip down in back. My Polar H10 stays in place better, since it has grippy patches around the entire strap.

I received my heart rate

I received my heart rate monitor 2 weeks ago and for my surprise the battery cap was broken before I even put it on, but since I have my old one, I switched the battery cap and is good to go. My old heart rate monitor was 2 years and always the button on the strap get corrosion and snap, I wish it was a better design.

Unreliable connection to Concept2 PM5

Bought this to replace my existing Tickr which has been fantastic until it finally failed. However this version does not stay connected to my devices (PM5 rower primarily). The previous Tickr did not have this problem.
