This is a wonderful upgrade or update to my original wahoo heart rate strap that finally took a crap after many many years of service. Hope to get just as many years out of it.

A incredible piece of hardware

It's my second TICKR. The first one the strap collapsed. The metal plug which connects to the device rusted until it fall apart from the band. Then I just bought a generic HRM strap and moved on. Nevertheless, the device (which is what matters) is incredible precise, have a long lasting battery life, and connects with easy with cell phones and stuff. Just bought a new one because I bought a Kickr and wanted to have the full experience with the newest tech.

Nice step up from an HR strap

I bought the Tickr to replace a 10-year old Garmin HR strap. I like the aesthetic and comfort of the Tickr compared to the Garmin. The Tickr connects via Bluetooth which the Garming did not, so I also eliminated the Ant+ dongle that I was using on my trainer. Very happy with the purchase.

Not What I Expected

Bought this thinking it would be better than the Garmin I have now, given it had bluetooth capabilities. However, after receiving the troubles started. Couldn't get it to be recognized - the unit was shipped with a dead battery. Changed battery and now bluetooth recognized but no heartbeat signal. Wet the electrodes, etc. no luck. It wasn't until multiple reconnection attempts did heartbeat come through. Now I don't trust it. Other than being a better fit, it isn't what I expected and should have returned it.

Needs a little sweat to register

Connects fine on Zwift, but often registers 0 bpm at first. Works fine once I start to sweat a little. Will read a pulse across my fingers but doesn’t start out so we’ll on my chest. Bought this to replace an older Wahoo chest strap that stopped reading. Once I start sweating it works fine.

Easy to use and connect via bluetooth. Have previous TICKR that is about 4 years old and has survived plenty of abuse and continues to work well.
