Works well but strap seems to fail after 3 to 5 months

So far, so good.
But this is the third TICKR Heart Rate Monitor that I have had. The previous two worked well for several months and then began to behave erratically. I replaced the strap and they worked well again for a few months until the same thing happened again. I love the monitor when it works but I never know when it will reach the point where it stops working. I think it is reasonable to think I should get a year of use out of the strap before having to replace.

My second one. Bought this one for my wife, who has an arrhythmia. Many HRMs don’t detect her heartbeat. This one does. Excellent.

Very comfortable

I replaced my 5+ year old Garmin strap after it finally died. The TICKR is extremely comfortable. The Garmin was a hard plastic bar, but the Wahoo has the sensors built into a soft strap. It appears to be very accurate (it tracks closely with my watch). The sensors work very well. A little water and they are able to find my heart rate. For my previous strap, I needed to use a lotion on the sensors for them to accurately pick up my heart rate. It connected easily with my Garmin 530 and Zwift. It is so comfortable that I don't need to take it off immediately after my workout. After my workout, I just rinse it off in the shower and it's ready to go for next time. I think this has more features than just a heart rate monitor, but that's all I need.
