Continually reads 0 BPM unless

Continually reads 0 BPM unless I spit on the two sensors. Not impressed. I wash it, clean it with an alcohol wipe but only spit makes it work.

These used to be the market leader and worked perfectly for a good 2 years if daily training. Then, the last 5 I have had stopped working consistently within a month. What’s going on wahoo???

It simply doesn’t register/pick up the correct heart rate consistently. Regardless of chest/strap moisture.
