Great stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second Whirlpool electric stove I have had and I am extremely satisfied with it. I looked at the glass top stoves but I frequently move items from the oven after baking or broiling to the stovetop using a metal burner cover. Since I don’t have a lot of countertop space this is very convenient.

Good solid stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I guess I’m going retro- I bought a plain coil burner electric stove. The glass tops never get clean. The new stove heats up quicker, and is easier to clean. I’m not a fancy cook- just the basics and this stove is great for that.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Oven temperature issues!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the worst Range I have ever owned. It was installed on 2/17/26. Within the first 24 hours I realized that the oven was not getting to temperature. I set the oven to 350 and when it preheated, it was only 290. Few minutes later it got to 325. After an additional 30 min it got close to 350. I tried contacting Whirlpool within the "first 48 hrs" and was unsuccessful. I submitted a claim and a tech came out a week later and basically said the discrepancy (+/- 25 degrees) was within reason. I have spent the last week trying to figure out how to use this oven. I have to keep changing the temp to get it close to what I want. Even then it just doesn't seem reliable. Looking online, it appears that for short "bake" items (such as cookies), you need to let this oven heat up for at least 30 min to get to temp, after it has preheated. For things that require longer time, it should all work out.... I just cannot believe that this is how a brand-new oven works. My previous oven that was 10+ yrs old and leaked heat around the door worked better than this oven. I do not recommend this product.

Well defined labels on range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The purchase of a new Mobile home came with Whirlpool appliances. Range has worked perfectly so far, very happy with it. Couldn’t use at first due to mis-labeling in breaker box by the mobile home manufacturer. Which had nothing to do with Whirlpool. Appliance is easy to use and clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The coil burners do not hold a temp. If I set it to high, it gets hot, then it cools down, so no consistency. The oven is set at 350° and sounds at what it says 350°, but in reality it is only 300°. It does finally get up to the proper temp, but does not brown or heat through to the center. I will not be keeping it.

Coils sometimes turn themselves off

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I buy coil stoves because we don't have access to natural gas and I do canning, which can't be done on a glass top. We just had to replace our Maytag range - this one is very similar, but there is a new feature where the coil burner turns off if it stays "too hot" for a long period of time or the burner senser isn't depressed consistently. We discovered this when trying to use our wok which sits on a rim around the burner as opposed to right on the burner. The burner kept turning off, making it extremely frustrating to complete the cooking of our pork chow mein. We had to keep turning the burner on and off to get the burner to get hot again and ensure the meat cooked well. This is going to make canning very difficult if the burner cannot sustain consistent boling temperatures to properly process jars in such a large volume of water.
