Great range with safety features.

We purchased this range because we recently purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator and were extremly pleased with it. The range is performing well and we are happy with it and expect many years of service.

A bit disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old range, which I had for 9 years, would get hot on the cook top when I used the oven or the front burners. So hot that if a kid would touch it they would get burned. Was told by repairman that this is the way they are. So I decided to get a new one. This one. Well, I am a bit disappointed, this range does the same thing. I can't believe this is a feature on ranges. Where is the safety? I feel I just wasted my money, as the other one still worked, except for this issue. Daughter-in-law asked at another appliance place and they said this is normal.
