Initial Impression

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a replacement stove for a flat top glass/cermamic model. First, I was not impressed with the life span of the first stove. A stove should last a minimum of 15 years. Our first stove wasn't replaced for 25 years. This stove, looked grea out of the box. I miss the flat top, but the coils are much easier to clean. The controls were easy to understand and use. The cook top worked well. Four days after delivery I decied to roast a chicken. The chicken came out beautifully. However, while baking I noticed the burner top was pretty hot. So hot that if I left my hand in contact I would have received burns. I put in a service call which will occur on the 25th of Oct. Storage bin. The other model has rollers for the storage bin making it pretty easy to slide in and out. This product does not have rollers. As a result the sliding action is pretty stiff. I don't like it. Assuming the service fixes the problem, I am good with the product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had a glass top stove and never liked it so went back to a coil cooktop. The cooktop takes some time to get used to. The pans need to be heavy enough to depress the sensi-temp coil button in the center for the pan to sit flat. The Range should include a set of pans designed for it. Also, the user instructions on page 7 say the coil elements should be level for optimal cooking results which contradicts the instructions to level the oven racks when installing the Range. After leveling the oven 1st the coil cooktop is not level. The instructions do not say how to level the coils. Also, when the oven is on the rear left burner where the oven “chimney” is located gets extremely hot and should display a “cooktop hot” light which it does not. It would be nice to level both the oven and the coils.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this range because I wanted coil burners instead of ceramic cooktop and there were very few choices. I can't boil water for pasta because the burners cut out just as the water is finally coming to a boil. Also, the pots and pans drawer is very thin aluminum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Working good so far! Just wondering though, what are the silver buttons in the middle of the stove top elements?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The stove top cooks well, unless you have a regular size frying pan. The large burners are not big enough. The former coil stoves used to have one large and three small burners. This model has two larger and two smaller ones. The larger burners are great for boiling water or to simmer food but when frying, it does take longer. Having said that, we are pleased with the stove. The oven is great. It heats up fast. We have no complaints. The drawer on the bottom is not strong. One can only place light products, like muffin tins in there. We had to find a new place for all our frying pans. The price was great. Overall, I give it a 4, due to the large burner being a little smaller.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this stove. I don't understand why it chirps while heating up the oven. Previously I had a glass top stove, and this is much nicer. I'll have to buy the additional burner for canning. Although, I think it should automatically come with the stove. I like that it is not complicated to use. Just straightforward.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought to replace a range that was also purchased new. The problem was the handle came off after two months, the oven door was never right after that. We chose this range as a replacement because of the superior workmanship and our beliefs are that this range will definitely outlast brand X.
