Very poor instructions for programming remote.

If you can get it programmed it works fine. If you try to program a second remote, you may well unprogram the first and have to reset everything, which is a complicated process.

It sounds like your garage door opener can support up to seven wireless devices, including any previously programmed remotes or wireless devices. Once the limit is reached, programming a new remote will replace the oldest one in the system.
To resolve this, you can reset the receiver by pressing and holding the learn code button until the red LED light turns off. After that, reprogram your wireless devices one by one, up to the maximum of seven.
