Smart Washer, Some Quirks

Control panel offers many options, including favorite cycle, that take the guesswork out of a mundane task. Like the drain and spin feature that I used when the machine stopped mid-cycle. May be a safety feature for unbalanced distribution of clothes during spin cycle. Neat option with soap and brush in one to treat spots, not yet tried in four months. On occasion, small amount of water splashes to the front of lid and escapes down the front of machine. Annoying sensitive button on the inside top lip, right side facing machine, that unexpectedly turns on water when removing clothes from that side. The tub is so deep that I, average height woman, have to stand on tip toes to remove the last bit of clothes from the bottom. Cycles seem very long, but nice option available for a quick wash. Sight odor from inside, but leaving lid open for a little while after removing clothes helps. All in all, laundry comes out fresh and clean, as expected.

Clothes are clean but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old front loader got a leak so I needed a new washer. I decided not to get another front loader so I read reviews on several websites and ended up getting this whirlpool.
The clothes are getting very clean, which you would certainly expect of any washer so that’s nothing special. I like the load and go so you don’t have to measure detergent every time. It seems to be working so far and not using too much as far as I can tell.
The machine is very noisy! If you can’t close the door to your laundry room forget about watching tv in the next room. Luckily I can close the door.
The tub basin is very deep. Hard to reach the bottom to get the small stuff out like socks. I am only 5’4” so it’s hard for me but doable. Anyone shorter would need a stool.
I like the clear top and being able to see the progress of the load, like ensuring there is enough water and soap. The machine is smart so it knows exactly how much to put in, which is good.
The tub is very large capacity so it’s easy to fit large comforters and things like bathroom rugs. But I only washed my bathroom rugs once so far and the machine stopped due to being off balance, so I had to reach in and rearrange them, that happened twice during the cycle. I wouldn’t expect that especially since there were only 5 rugs and the basin wasn’t even half full.
Overall, I am happy with it so far but I’ve only had it a month.

Large loads and options.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only problem I have with this washer are large loads are tumbled into a ball and the washer becomes off balance. I have to unravel the large ball and continue with wash. The sheets and blankets are always getting into a large ball.
