[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I reviewed the matching Dryer and gave it a 4. It's a really good dryer. But this washer is a 3 at its best. I really want to rate it higher but it's a large capacity washer and nearly always "times out" because the weight of the load creates an off-balance load. I want to rate it higher, and, maybe, just maybe, I'm doing something wrong but it shouldn't be this hard.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my new Whirlpool Washer in December 2020. It has great capacity. I’m down to about two loads a week verses my old washer was about 15. I like to Load N Go detergent feature!! Great Machine so far!!

Great tub size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this washer about two months ago and have mixed opinions about it. The tub size is great. However some of the features leave lot to be desired. The load and go feature where it dispenses the detergent is not very good. When you finally figure out how to get to the settings, you still have no idea how much of the detergent it is dispensing.
If you have heavy loads like towels and blankets, it gets off balance very easily and you have to pause the unit and rearrange the items in the tub.

Disappointed

The soap dispenser does not empty out, the clothes become horribly tangled, it gets off-balance often and my clothes do not get as clean as they did with my old washer. I constantly have to run the spin cycle as often times the clothes are soggy wet when it finishes.

Quiet and efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer is much quieter and more efficient than the top load HE washer I got 8 years ago. It also is better about handling unbalanced loads. My biggest complaint is the "smart" features. The app UI is not great. Besides the notification if you have an error or the load is complete; I see no value with these smart features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this just a few weeks ago and instantly had trouble with the unbalanced load lights coming on with a load of business casual clothing. I love the large tub for covers, rugs, etc. but am not sure that this is the best for everyday loads.
