Not quit what I expected!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am an avid Whirlpool fan, I live in Marion, Ohio and strongly believe in supporting local companies. This is one purchase that I sadly am not real pleased with, ordered April 13, 2021 and finally received on August 23, 2021, being a retired employee of Honda I realize every company is struggling to meet demand, but was told various delivery dates and nothing was ever consistent. After installation and running it a few times, I must say that I am uncertain as to why I bought it. My clothes come out soppy, I have to spin twice, just not satisfied. My Cabrio that I replaced this with was wonderful, before that I had a Roper set for over 15 years and they were gems. Will I keep it, sure it’s a Whirlpool, will I brag about it to friends? Not like I did my last two I owned. If you offered me an even up trade with a Cabrio or Roper would I take it, you betcha. So as to the question below No not this model.

Worst washer

This washer does not wash clothing. It was serviced for multiple issues shortly after it was purchased. I have owned it for over a year because I wasn't allowed to return it. I absolutely hate this washer and sincerely regret buying it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The drum bangs against the side of the cabinet on the spin cycle and as others have said, it’s loud. I have had to rebalance the load three times on just a single washing. That happened with our old front load, but only if there was a single item, such as a blanket. They need to go back the drawing board with this one.

Disappointed Big Time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had this machine delivered in December and didn't start using until March. We expected this to be a great machine and workhorse, but unfortunately it is a dud. The machine makes excessive banging and clanging noises depending on how much of a load there is and barely makes it through a wash cycle without going out of balance. With this it wastes more water and energy due the out of balance condition.I did my research and this was suppose to be a great machine, we just left our daughters home who has an old Kenmore top loader worked like a charm. Now considering selling this set off and going back to a frontoader. Very disappointing machine

Do not buy!!

This has to be the worst washer i have ever owned. Nothing gets clean. Does not agitate the clothes what so ever. Drum moves back and fourth but the clothes never move they just sit in the water.
Can't run a large load. It will never spin out.

Simple to use and does a great job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've really started to appreciate this washer more with every load. It's very quiet without selecting the quiet mode. It must be almost silent with that setting. The tub is huge. It has been great for comforters, sleeping bags, blankets and more. That's what we've run through it so far and it all came out great. The faucet and scrub brush are excellent additions to this one. No utility sink needed now. I like that I can let it figure out what settings I need for this load. The smoked glass lid is great to see inside the load without opening and/or pausing the cycle.
It is weird. When I start a load, shut the lid then it tells me to add garments. If you wait a little bit, it'll say it's sensing the load. It moves a little CW, then CCW without even starting the water. It's hard to set it up then walk away while it's sensing the load. It takes it a few minutes to start.
The ability to start a load from anywhere with my phone is crazy. I filled it for a load then left. From miles away, I hit start. It did start and gave me a countdown on my phone for progress. The fabric softener and the bleach additive having their individual areas to pre-fill are nothing new. Filling the removable compartment to fill with liquid Tide so it auto dispenses the correct amount to run the load is something pretty new to us. Once every 20 or so loads it will tell you to refill it/ You can also stop the auto dispense for 1 load or permanently is simple to select. We are very pleased with this purchase. We're just continuing to adjust to the weird noises it makes and how it starts.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer is just aweful. It is loud. The washing cycles are much longer than my old Maytag top loader and the clothes still do not seem clean (using the same detergents, water, etc.). The user interface/control panel sometimes fails to turn on. But the worst issue is that many loads get an error message that the load is unbalanced and the cycle just spins the drum at a very slow speed while it tries to rebalance the load. After an hour of watching this, you kind of get used to the fact that you are going to have to kill the cycle altogether and try to get it to at least run a spin cycle to get some of the water out of the clothes so that you can restart the whole process over again. Forget about washing anything bulky like a blanket. You will ALWAYS get the unbalanced load error message. You have a 50/50 chance with bedding or towels. The only positive comment is that the fill and go reservoir is a good feature and appears to work, however, maybe that's why the clothes don't seem clean??

Great expectations Great deception

I really don't know how you could get all those stars...
Which what could I begin ?
1) Automatic water level : even if you specified you want high water level, it start to wash with less than an inch of water... and water never reach the level asked..... very good for fabric to be scraped like that.
2) Every step of the cycle, the engine has a "kachuk" noise really loud .... in fact, all the process is very noisy
3) There are a lot of interesting options but no explanation at all of each one in the manuel. Do 2 more sheets of paper would cost that much ? I see how normal cycle sucks so I don't want to risk trying other options.
4) If I don't use the pre-soak option, some pieces of clothes get off with dried parts !!!!
PLEASE stop building machine with automatic water level and stop fancy features who cost arms and legs for disappointing results
We just want our clothes to be cleaned and to last a normal cycle of life.
Laundry was my favorite chores... not anymore.
Whirlpool you won't catch me twice
