Waste of money.

Absolute garbage! Bacteria builds up somewhere in this thing and you can't get the smell out. Takes forever to get cloths clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this approx 8 months ago. Everything worked fine up until about 2 months ago. It would stop on spin and stay there. The appliance guy came and replaced the mother board, and it did it again. He came back out and replaced it again and contacted whirlpool just ro be told we had to change our speed of our internet. We just got internet in our area 2 months ago. We cannot change our speed on our internet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Died after four yrs of use

Spacious & efficient; worked great for four years when bought new in 2020, but then completely died in 2024. Deemed unrepairable after a number of new parts were installed by Tech and it still would not work. Had to buy a new washing machine. Thankfully, I purchased the five yr protection plan.

Cotton Candy Maker is Better!

This is a typical example of a giant machine that is practically useless, or at best too much consumption of time, money, water, and electricity. You initially would want to love it because of the size but you want to ditch it for all other reasons. It is not simply working right! The WIFI enabled broke within 2 months. This machine always gets an imbalance load even for any amount of laundry. The motor stops all the time, then it fills additional water 2 or more times to balance the load, thus wasting more water and electricity. It goes again for a very long time sometimes 2 hours, but once done, you will still see the soap sitting on top of the dry center and soiled laundry on top. It stirs the periphery of the bottom but the center remains unchanged. Comparatively, our water bill doubled with this machine. It quickly stops, imbalance, or not washing: 3 towels or more, full-size comforters or bigger, and many others. This is truly a Whirlpool disappointment.

Basically useless

This washer simply does not wash. Clothes come out smelling musty, dirt and lint just gets moved around and deposited on other things (see photos of "clean" clothes). SO much money for nothing. I'm pretty angry about it.

DO NOT PURCHASE!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been the worst washing machine we have ever purchased. Within one month, the repair guy has been out twice. Once the washing machine was filling up with too much water and was not draining well and we kept getting this notification that it was rinsing with water that was too hot. Yesterday morning I tried to start a load before work and the washing machine wouldn’t even turn on. The repair guy came back out and replaced the whole panel.

Don't expect this model to last long

My wife and I bought our Whirlpool WTW7120 washer just over 2 years ago after our GE washer of 10+ years stopped working. We have had nothing but problems with this model of Whirlpool. It doesn't clean clothes well and the electronics often have problems concerning the locks after just 2-3 years the drain pump has gone bad and we had to replace other small parts. The large capacity has been its redeeming feature but it doesn't clean the clothes as good as most washers.

I am not one to write reviews. I dont think I have ever written an online review in my life. But this washing machine is so frustrating that I felt I just wanted to warn people before they consider buying this. I bought this and the dryer as a set. The dryer has been good to this point. No complaints there. But this washing machine gets caught in a cycle where it cant balance the load. And it will just keep filling up the drum and then emptying it. Then filling it up again and emptying it. You then have to go in and try to re-arrange the clothes by hand to balance it. And if you dont balance it? It goes back to the cycle. So many times I have to drain the whole thing and start over. Also if you are looking for a quiet washing machine, this aint it. If anyone from Whirlpool is reading this, its nothing you can fix. Its just a bad washing machine. The only fix is getting something different. And who has money for that when you spent a ton of money on this in the first place. What a waste. Lesson learned.

Please see the following for some troubleshooting tips: Understanding Unbalanced Loads An unevenly distributed load causes an "off-balance" condition, leading to noise, excessive vibration, reduced spin speed, and longer cycle times. The washer will attempt to self-correct by refilling and gently rotating the load. If unsuccessful, it will display an error. How to Correct an Out-of-Balance Load If an error is present: Cancel the cycle (press Start or unplug). Run a drain-only cycle (if water is present). Rearrange or remove some clothing to ensure the load is level and not overloaded. Try restarting with the Bulky or Heavy Duty cycle. (Optional): If the wash is complete, run a Drain & Spin cycle after rearranging to extract water. If the cycle can be paused: Press the Start button to pause. Open the lid and redistribute the load or reduce the size. Press the Start button to resume the cycle. How to Prevent Unbalanced Loads Proper Loading: Load clothes in loose heaps, distributing them evenly around the basket. Do not overload; the load should be no higher than the top row of holes in the wash basket. Balance heavy items with lighter ones. Pick the Right Cycle: Use the Bulky cycle for large or oversized items. When washing a single absorbent item (like a rug), add two or three smaller items to balance the load for a good spin. Level the Washer: Periodically check to ensure the washer is level from side to side and front to back, with all feet firmly on the ground. If it rocks diagonally, it needs to be leveled.
