defective after 8 months

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After only having the appliance 8months it suddenly just stopped working . I have spent the last 3weeks trying to schedule a successful service call. They have limited selections of vendors (2) that do not seem to want to service and they refuse to replace the product that is still under the limited warranty. I am now going to pursue a consumer attorney to handle the matter.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Weak seal around bottom freezer door

This refrigerator is good...for only 1-2 years

Similar experience as many of the recent reviewers. The fridge gives out after 1-2 years. Our first problem started at installation. The refrigerator gasket was factory-damaged. Easy enough to replace, but a bad omen. The front control panel just went totally dead after about a year. Fine, I can live without it as long as things stay cold. Then a little after two years, the fridge portion can't stay cold. The freezer works. The fridge does not. We have a baby, and keeping his breastmilk bottles cold enough is now a nightmare. Wish applications could last like they used to. Hooray for maximizing CEO profits with low-quality items that don't last!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Freezer Drawers are "Cheap"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is exactly what we wanted for 2 people, couldn't find one anywhere, so only could go by pictures. This unit arrived damaged, no fault of Whirlpool, however, the shelves are hard to install as the door only opens to 90 degrees, which once in place, is not an issue. The issue is with the freezer, 2 very tiny drawers, not sure why, and the cheap plastic drawers are very difficult to open all the way, they hit the door. Terrible design, the doors should at a minimum open 95 degrees, 105 degrees would be ideal. Overall, this seems like a good product

What an absolute disaster!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From day one, the freezer was dripping cold water which damaged the floor. Whirlpool said it’s probably my fault; it wasn’t. It turned out to be a bad seal on the freezer door. I know that my ordeal has only begun, so I will have to be patient.

The issue I have is it freezes food, beverages and my vegetables. I have adjusted the temperature but the freezing continues. I had a glass bottle of milk that exploded in the refrigerator. It was quite the mess to clean up.
