has not worked fully since I bought it 9 months ago

The product does not work as advertised. I bought this in April 2022. Realized that the convection aspect wasn't working in June when everything came out soggy. I checked it with an oven thermometer and it wasn't heating above 200 degrees. I contacted Frigidaire in June 2022. They sent a technician to take a look in August 2022. The technician said we need a new thermostat and ordered the part. Now in January 2023 they came back to repair it. Only they have made the problem worse, now the buttons no longer align with the functions and the microwave aspect no longer works at all. The repair guy said he needs to order another part and left. So now we have no convection oven aspect and no microwave.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Broke down after 3 weeks

Bought this over the holidays as we're renovating our kitchen. Installation was easy and painless. Instructions are thorough and concise. The jig that comes with it is accurate and works well. Very attractive unit - looks great. However, after a few weeks of use it suddenly stopped working. No warning signs or behavior. Put in food and turned microwave on normal setting. After running for about 1 minute it simply shut off. Wouldn't respond to touch. Nothing worked including fan, lights, microwave, convection. Checked all breakers and outlets to ensure it wasn't a power issue. Called support to get things sorted out and after some lengthy phone calls have been scheduled a service call. So my family (including a toddler and 4 year old ) has been without a microwave for 2+ weeks. Would not call the experience with this microwave a positive one.

Poor design ALLROUND..

So first off, the venting vent on the top of the microwave:
the vent is literally RIGHT at the back of the microwave, so in turn, when it goes through your upper cabinet, theres no way to line up the vent on microwave with the vent attachment. See photo one.
Absolutely rediculous they couldn't have moved it even 1" forward so you can have your vent not line up inside the wall of the cabinet. (Our cabinet is 5/8" thick backer)
Second EXTREMLY STUPID set up..the bottom.of the microwave is slanted, with the front behind 1" higher then the back. Why wouldn't it just be flat so I can line up my "upper cabinet gable end" flush with the bottom..we had our gables painted, but we didn't pay to paint the inside that was butted to the cabinet, so now we have raw material showing because the stupid front ent is higher then the back, so the gable has to come to the lowest point (the back) exposing the inside non painted area, AND AT THE FRONT NO LESS!! OMG IM so mad about this. After all the installation effort, its worth it to me to take this stupid idiotic designed microwave back. Why wouldn't it just be flat...
And thirdly:
The door doesn't open up past 90°, which is Ludacris, every single microwave ive ever owned, opens to.about 110°, so now you have to seriously (its so noticeable how far out of the way I have to stand) open the door, then move.over to the right, then grab or put stuff in.
If i could give it 0 stars I would!!
Save your money, this is the absolute poorest designed microwave I've ever seen. Wouldn't ever recommend it.

Defective parts

Excited and did a lot of research and settled on a new microwave from Frigidaire. It came with defective parts. Now its been a week and a half with out a microwave. Had a technician come to assess and order parts for the brand new microwave and still have not been given any update on when it’s going to be fixed. Extremely frustrated.

Only 4 months old and a big problem

The microwave is only 4 months old and it is blowing fuses each time it is plugged in. According to online information it is a defective switch in the unit and have now been on the phone (on Hold) for 32 minutes. They claim the call is important to them. If that were true they would have more agents to assist with problems.

Love the convection feature

We purchased this microwave after our old one finally died. Overall nice design, lots of great , convenient options for cooking/heating. The main reason we chose this microwave was the convection oven feature , which we really love. It is great that we don’t have to use our gas range as much for roasting and baking. The install wasn’t ideal for us, as we had an overhead vent that made it very difficult.
I would recommend this to a friend!
