Impressive

I have had the S62 for a few weeks now and played one round of golf with it. This is replacing the Venu I used for golf and the S62 blows away the Venu when it comes to golf features. Haven’t used them all but so far it has been easy navigating through the various golf features. It is more accurate than the Venu as well. Battery life is fantastic, even with gps active. Love it so far.

Impossible to use
on June 15, 2022

Instructions don’t offer much help in learning how to use the watch.
Cannot figure out how to change holes.
I th8nk it will be great but have no clue how to use it other than playing a course in order.
As such it is not worth much to me at this lint.
If I cannot get help I should return it.

Does not report weather correctly! Does not report steps on golf course during round of golf correctly. Does not move to correct "hole" during "shotgun start". Does not end round if shotgun start is employed.

First course played wasn’t listed
on June 15, 2022

First impressions are fairly positive in terms of the actual product, just disappointing that the first course I’m playing isn’t listed as an option. Tried to request online via their website, but the website wouldn’t allow me to proceed (tried various changes to the form - no gaps in zip code etc, but to no avail). Not a great start. I’d recommend checking on the app if the courses you plan on playing are listed before purchasing.

Lots of good things, but....

I've played a half dozen rounds with the S62 so far and while it's good, there is lots of room for improvement.
Clearly the watch is designed for someone who paid the extra $$$ for the club monitors. I might add them at some point, but for now, manual mode gets pretty painful when recording shots.
The watch rarely, maybe 1 in 20, picks up a chip shot, leading to some hiking back and forth to previous shot locations to log a shot and it takes a lot of button pushes and swipes to get there. An option to edit the order of the Red button sub-menus, or tapping on the green golf ball icon on the main screen to enter manual mode would make this a LOT easier.
Placing the pin on the green, is difficult. The watch tells you how far from the pin you are, but not "where" you are on the green. In another app I use, my position shows up on the screen and I just drag the pin to me and I've mapped the exact location in seconds. On the watch, it's 15-30 seconds of trial and error, a party foul in golf.
Club choices: I travel often, and use multiple sets of clubs as a result. Seems like the app/watch is set up for about 28 clubs, with only the option to completely disable, or delete clubs vs have the ability to re-activate a disabled club. While I'm sure this is a memory issue, the app could be used to "store" the inactive clubs and their shot data simply syncing after you switch to a different bag of clubs. Multiple "bags" of clubs in the app would be even cooler. The ability to re-activate a disabled club would also be a good solution to accommodate travelers like myself.
I do like the app thus far as I'm still digging deeper into what it does for me, but I will say the ability to look at a mapped shot review of each hole is really nice. I am still looking for a quick way to account for my penalty shots on the watch when I'm taking 2nd shot relief, but I think that is able to be added after the round, in the app. A quick way to account for it, other than on the hole summary would be nice also. It would be nice to have a satellite view of the course map, but the version the app has is ok.
Overall, I do like the transition the S62 gives me from the iOS app I've been using before, however, there are some fairly significant hassles if you do not own the club sensors. If I got the 3 pack, I'd probably start with sensoring the wedges I use for chipping since the watch doesn't seem to pick that shot up often. I'll have to explore what additional metrics the sensors give me, especially compared to the metrics I'm seeing in the R10 Monitor so far, and see if that justifies adding the sensors. No danger of taking the S62 back, but the ergonomics of working in the menus need customizability to be more efficient on the course for non-sensor owners of the watch.

I bought this as Father’s Day gift to myself a month ago. The set up was extremely easy, downloaded app on my iPhone, synced s62, get to the golf course and I was ready to play. Heavenly surprised.
