Worth the extra $

I like this better than the old 20 I had. It uses touch and swipe vs buttons. I like the map on the screen. I like that it automatically shows how far I hit it vs having to bring it up manually. It tracks sleep and steps and pulse. For some reason it does not track O2 unless I manually ask it to. The rest of the stats are continuous. Easily interchangeable bands is kind of fun to use more exciting colors than black.

Garmin S62 My Favorite Golf Watch

I have had other golf watches but the Garmin S62 has been the easiest to use at the golf course keeping track of clubs, distances and scoring. No extra tags needed to track shots (up to but not including the chipping and putting area). Once your courses have been loaded in the watch you need to do a satellite search at the course, you hit "skip" and your courses loads quickly. This watch has met my expectations and beyond.

I didn't realize how Great it was until I bought

I was reluctant about how much will I use it and was on the fence to buy a range finder instead, as I already had a Smart watch and I took it away to play as didn't like a watchwhileplaying.
I went with the Approach S62 and wow! I LOVE the decision I made.
Super comfortable, goes unnoticed due to its weight. Distances are SOOO accurate that I am still amazed!
My golf game has improved as I know real Distances right next to the ball, more convenient with Cart Path Only days, rather than having another device to carry to where the ball landed.
My favorite feature: Virtual Caddy! After 5 rounds, it learned my Distances and now it even calculate the wind and slope, and advise me on what club should I use from that place. It even tells me where should my next stroke should land!
During my range sessions, the S62 has a Swing Tempo analysis feature where I worked to dial my Swing speed back, and my contact is cleaner! I didn't know I was having a backswing tempo too fast that was hurting my contact with the ball!
In perspective, how much would I have to spend in lessons so anyone would tell me that. Is the Swing speed I had foe decades!
After buying it, I don't know why I wasted too many years without it!
In the aesthetic side, I went with the black one and I consider it pretty and goes along with everything.
On top of the golf features, it has many skills (like my previous smart watch: e.g. Smart wallet, running, sleep, and body battery monitoring)

Stops working in the middle of a round

Great features but impossible to change holes when it gets on the wrong one and the watch freezes in the middle of the round. Only solution is to to turn it off and reset which takes a fair amount of time delaying the game.

I had purchased my S62 2 years ago. Something went awry and I was unable to keep score and I got very frustrated. I called Garmin and they were very nice and swapped mine for a refurbished one. The new watch would freeze up, so I still didn’t have anything that would work. I inquired about the new model and told them I was interested in a new one. I was never able to make anyone understand that I just wanted a good working piece of equipment. I got tired of screwing around with it so I bought an Apple Watch and so far so good.
