I bought this to replace my Garmin S40. I really like this watch. It does what I need and is accurate. I know it's a chunk of change, but I golf 3 to 5 times a week, and it is nice to have.

Battery life fantastic

Hi, I got a replacement Garmin S62 Approach watch following a battery life that would only last c.12 hours. Replacement is fantastic.. consistently now getting two weeks from the watch when gps not used, absolutely love it. Thank you all. Support staff were also extremely helpful on calls / online as well as the warehouse facility in Bray, Co. Wicklow.

Love easy distance readings

Great fast distance information of front, center & back of greens! Keeps track of distance, strokes and performance. Score card is easy & intuitive. Bunker distance is helpful in avoiding trouble. Expecting handicap to go down as more time using - as only have had 4 weeks.

Cool watch but need practice

I was given the s62 for my birthday. I’ve had a few rounds with it. Have not used the caddie feature. One issue I have is the big button. It gets pressed in between shots and after two holes, I was checking distance and it showed that we were 450 yds from the hole on a par three. After delaying our round a few minutes, I discovered the watch had skipped to the 6th hole. Took me some time to figure out how to get back on the third, which was actually the fourth by the time I was done. I may just be too new with the controls but out of the box ease of use is not high. The big button also starts rounds randomly when not even on the course. The button gets pressed whenever I bend my hand back at the wrist.

Better than Arrcos

Got an Apple Watch so decided to switch to Arcos sensors. Too much trouble Garmin is much easier to use and has better information

Loving it so far

I brought the S62 for my birthday this month, Nov. 2023. I have had the S4 for 10 years and it still works well, the battery last a round and 3 holes. This S62 is a wow, I fully charged it and played 2 rounds and I still have 57% battery left, 2 more rounds. I just love some of the features though I haven't used them all and they're in color. I love the easy of score keeping and the distance to a hazard. The S62 is a gem, I wonder what more the S70 could offer? Thanks Garmin.
