Nice for Golf....but missing Steps!

My husband bought the Approach S62 for me for Christmas. Golf is just starting and I am liking the golf tracking, but am not happy that it does not track my steps when I am golfing. I walk for my rounds and somehow the tracking for my walking stops or does not count all the steps once the Golf app is on. There must be a way to get information for both!

Awesome watch

I got it for a birthday gift and I've used it a few times. I love it. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is it doesn't always register shots. Other than that I love it. The display is so easy to read and see even when the sun is super bright.

I'm still learning how to use this but am surprised by how cool it is. I did see one hiccup. It has the potential to link a credit card but doesn't (at least right now) take AMEX or Citi. that's a small thing to me as I didn't need it but was surprised to find.

Disappointing user interface and functionality

Bought it about two weeks ago and still getting used to it. I also got the club sensors and am looking forward to see the whole integrated system work for me.
My first observations are that the user interface of the watch and the Garmin App are rather clunky and not very friendly to operate. For example, there is no way to work through the functuionality of the system without actually being on a course and playing a round, which effectively makes the whole exercise rather stressfull.
The integration between the app on the phone and the watch is minimal, and relies on a one way download of the data for one round to the phone, with limited editing opportunities. The interaction with the watch is not straightforward or intuitive at all, and once you commit to recording scores, there is no way to make corrections as you go. This results in making the interaction with the watch more involved than actually playing the hole. I could go on to list my many suggestions for simple improvement, but do not consider that my job. Overall, somewhat happy with the S62, but not realy convinced.

Great with the sensors

When I bought my s62 I got no sensors. It had trouble picking up short shots around the greens . I bought the starter pack of three sensors (putter and wedges) and much better experience now. Loving it !

The S62 is an essential tool in my golf game. It’s easy to read, move through the different functions and is so good that I bought one for my wife! She loves it too.

Only had it out once since purchased. Seems a bit complicated when trying to get to the page you want. need more time with it but I like simplicity. Works very well and is a good looking watch and GPS. I may return it and keep my old GPS watch

Great Golf Watch

I have had this watch for a month now and played 8 rounds so far. The watch looks a bit large but is pretty light and do not mind wearing it all day on and off the course. I love the other features the watch provides, not just the golf information. On the course, I love the whole hole view and reviewing landing zones and hazards. I ended up buying the 3 garmin CT sensors for my wedges for more information on my putting and chipping which is great for tracking more metrics. I would highly recommend the watch to anyone who loves reviewing their rounds and looking at their metrics.
