Poor face choices

Love the watch but the pre loaded faces don't offer enough on screen information or the one's that do aren't very good. The faces you can load to the watch from IQ all want money to use the all the functions. For the price of the watch they should at least offer some free options from the IQ store that are fully functional and customizable.

Better than expected

I was torn between the s62 and the epix when picking a golf watch. I really wanted to go with the epix because of that amoled screen but the price was a bit much. After all it seemed that a lot of the extra features (gps mapping, activity list, health features) I wasn’t really going to use so I went with the s62. Come to find out after connecting it to the Garmin app that the s62 does have quite a bit of health tracking features like sleep analysis, body battery, multiple activities to track and a lot more. Sure the activity list isn’t as extensive as the epix but will cover everything I do (weight training, running, yoga etc).
As far as the golf features I’m still getting used to the bells and whistles. I don’t like slow play and it seems like until I get the hang of the patterns needed to fully take advantage of the golf features it’s slowing me down a bit. I’m confident I’ll get the hang of it though. I also recently got the ct10 sensors so we’ll see how that goes. So far I’m very happy that what I thought was going to be my dedicated golf only watch is actually that plus a very solid fitness tracker. The amoled screen would’ve been nice but that comes at a hefty battery price as well as monetary. Plus the s62 in the outdoor sun really looks great. Which is where I’ll primarily be using it. Overall I’m very happy. The watch looks great, you can dress it up with different bands, it’s pretty light on my wrist and doesn’t really impede my swing like I thought it might. The only issue I have is depending on what golf glove I wear the watch can sometime interfere with the Velcro closure. I never noticed how some gloves have a lot of extra material at the wrist while some a more trim in that area. Still I’m loving it!

Great features............but.

The watch missed 3 drives completely the last round I played. It missed many fairway shots thus recording vastly exaggerated drive distances. This has been happening for months. I finally got so annoyed that I reset my watch to basic specs and reloaded both Garmin Connect and Garmin golf. Very annoying. I hope that a big part of the problem is user error. I am starting from scratch Monday and we will see.
That being said if the numbers would be consistent it is a great device.

This is my second S62. The screen on the first one quit working after a couple of years so I contacted Garmin customer service. They were great to work with and did a trade so that I was not out the full cost of a new watch. They supplied all the shipping info for me to send in my watch and the new one was here in just a couple of days. Great job!!!

Great watch

I had an S20 prior and never play without it. S62 is a great improvement. I’ve only used it 7 times but I love the feature at the top that show you how long the previous shot was. Something that I was curious about and was tougher to do in S20. I haven fooled around with layup shot distances or zooming in yet but will eventually.

Played three rounds with it. I had a little learning curve but on my last round I was taking advantage of all the great features it has. Can't wait for the caddie to start helping me with my shots. Overall, I would recommend this watch in a minute.

Love my Garmin S62

This watch was very easy to set up and operate. You don't have to stand around and wait for their GPS signal to find your course. It's almost instant. I've played three or four rounds of golf and still had almost 20% of the battery and wore it a couple of days all day. Really like the large display.

Awesome watch, much better & improved over S60

I had the S60 last few years and was frustrated having battery die and gps slowness and sometimes would freeze/shut down during a round. Bought the S62 and instantly saw improvements on speed, battery life snd reliability! I also have the CT10 sensors connected snd R10 simulator. All 3 are nice BUT Garmin needs to update the R10 to allow more than 1 device connection so CT10 and S62 can connect to it making for a better practice experience when using R10.
