Not pleased with stovetop but love everything else

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought it on my hubbys birthday, happy birthday to me though!!! Previous appliances in home we purchased were Frigidaire and they were still going strong after almost 20 years so obvious choice was to stick with them!!!
First stove we received the back burner did not work unless all knobs were turned on so had to wait almost a month and a half to get replacement.
My big disappointment is the black top is soooooo hard to keep clean and it drives me bonkers.
Old stove was white with grey top so easier to clean.
No matter how often I clean or what I use it still shows every little spot. I even have lint free cloths for the stove!!!
Cooks amazing though!!!!! Still having to gauge things because it heats up fast!!!
Wish broil had more temperature settings than high and low!! It goes from one extreme to tbe next, no in between!
I overall love how the Gallery ensemble looks in my kitchen, just disapponointed in the stovetop.
Wish there was an alternative to the black stovetop maybe a light grey or charcoal?
Something to think about for the next designs.

Here are some tips to keep your cooktop clean:
For light to moderate soils, apply a few drops of the cooktop cleaning cream directly to the cooktop. Clean the surface with a Multi-Purpose No Scratch Scrub Sponge thoroughly without leaving any residue.
For heavy, burned on soil, repeat the steps above applying pressure when cleaning as needed. It is not recommended you use the sponge to clean your cooktop for any other purpose.
If soils remain, carefully scrape soils with a metal razor blade scraper, holding the scraper at a 30-degree angle to the surface. Remove the loosened soils with the cleaning cream and buff surface clean.
Also, melted plastic or foods with a high sugar content spills need to be removed immediately to prevent permanent damage. To purchase this kit with us, please contact our Parts Division at 800-599-7569.

It’s a basic electric stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stove cane with my home as it’s new construction. It’s part of the gallery line which comes across as a high end gimmic. The stove works as it should but it’s not a high end product.
Knobs in the back make it difficult as you have to reach over hot pots cooking food. It’s electric so there’s a hot surface warning, but it’s not specific to which burner is hot. The oven is odd as the heating elements are build in to the bottom surface, you therefore can’t place any material to catch run off grease or other food that would drop.
Overall the stove and oven work as it should however the ergonomics and design for use are horrible. Will be replacing at first sign of failure.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We hate to hear that you aren't completely satisfied with your new stove, El chappy tan! Most new ranges have hidden bake elements in the oven which is more aesthetically pleasing. To catch spills, we recommend placing a foil-lined baking sheet on the rack beneath your dish. Just don't place anything directly on the oven bottom!
