Black ceramic cooktop always looks dirty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I miss my old multicolored ceramic cooktop from Kenmore! This one has a couple of problems. 1) you don't get an indicator which burner is hot - safety! With kids this could be a problem. 2) It always looks dirty because it's a flat black color. I like the burner that can be either a small or larger burner with the controller. I haven't used the oven much.
