Good quality, light device, amazing keyboard and processing power. Alright speakers. The battery life is excellent. The main drawback is the microphone - in multiple calls on different platforms I'm told my voice sounds choppy and can't be understood. Will need to buy an external microphone/headset.

Probably the thinnnest and lightest laptop that you can get with this amount of ports. Excellent build quality. Fast. Screen is great. Keyboard is the best i have ever used. A few issues though:
- fingerprint/smudge magnet
- trackpad cannot be physically pressed down near its buttons because it is hinged to acomodate trackpoint buttons (trackpoint needs to go. it is an outdated concept)
- battery life not as advertized, but still above average
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Within 3 weeks of owning this laptop the software completely shut down and required a total reboot and reinstall of system software.
While I hope it’s just a lemon, this seems to be a poor product and will make me wary from purchasing more for my business.

very disappointed

Within one week of using this laptop, a simple task as the screen brightness would not work. After trying to troubleshoot myself with Windows settings and drivers, it still wouldn't work. Called Lenovo and after 60 minutes of trying to fix the problem, they wanted to send a tech to switch my screen and several internal components. Really, on a brand new laptop? I also found the battery life to be nowhere near what was expected. I only use Outlook and Word/Excel to do minor tasks, with occasional browsing and I would be lucky to get 5 hours before needing a charge. The selling feature of 10 hours is a farce.

Disappointed in the performance

Purchased an X1 Carbon Gen 7 with an i7-10710U processor. Base speed is 1.10GHz and is very slow until it is heavily loaded (e.g. video processing). Not really Lenovo's fault, but Intel's. System is MUCH slower than my 2013 Mac Pro with a 2.3GHz i7.
Left button position on trackpad is far too limited. I think I am clicking on something, but my figure has to be at the extreme left edge of the trackpad.
Black matte surface tends to easily get discoloured from fingerprints.
Laptop is wonderfully light, however and Lenovo support appears to be very good.
Finally, continual e-mails from Lenovo sales are a Grade A PITA!
