I purchase the first version of Lenovo’s X1 carbon laptop years ago when it first lunched. I thought I was taking a chance after using Dell laptops previously. I was totally blown away by the X1 Carbon. Fast forward to now, It still amazing to see how Lenovo still finds ways to improve on an already feature packed and stable machine. My old Gen-1 is still in service as a gift to my younger sister who needed a portable yet functional laptop while she was attending college two years ago. My new acquisition (Gen-7) is a beauty that looks primed to perform for years. I am so excited to own another X1 Carbon.
I was a bit nervous going back to Windows after having a terrible experience with my Macbook Pro. Anyway, fast forward to 2 months into using the X1 Carbon and I don't regret it one bit. I was a bit worried that the display wouldn't hit the mark but the 4K UHD display is amazing! The good thing about the X1 Carbon is that is able to run Linux as well, so you can get a dual OS experience. I like that it has all of the required ports and isn't dependent on adapters/ dongles. Lastly, typing on this seems so much more satisfying than the Macbook's sticky keys. Final verdict: I don't regret moving over from the Macbook. The Lenovo X1 Carbon has been a joy to use.
This laptop continues to show why Lenovo makes the best business quality laptops on the market. A familiar look and feel is augmented by great materials and build quality, in an extremely light and portable package. With the right sale, the pricing is reasonable as well. This is my 3rd Lenovo laptop as a consultant, and it helps me look the sophisticated part. I would not hesitate to buy another!
