The keyboard is the right size and has a good feel. I have used this laptop almost daily for full days as a result of working from home. The screen is clear and and comfortable to use for hours at a time.
Very happy with the X1 Carbon I purchased. The part I like the best is the face scanner. I just open it up, and it logs me in instantly! It's so light weight, and feels very quality built.
I was really excited when I got my laptop. It shipped surprisingly faster then I had anticipated, even with quarantine going on. It was great because I'm using this laptop primarily for school and I was also just about to start exams so the fast shipping was perfect timing.
The computer is quick. I haven't had any problems waiting for things to load which is nice. I personally like the keyboard. It feels nice to type on, and the typing is smooth. I found that the touch pad gets stained easily. The only thing that bothered me about the keyboard is that there is no pause/play control button. On laptops that I had in the past (not Lenovo) they had the little control button at the top, so to have a laptop without those buttons is kind of weird for me. So if I'm listening to Spotify through my laptop, I actually have to go into the app and pause it. Initially I didn't think I would care and it would be whatever, but afterwards I realized it was a feature I missed having.
Secondly, you know how laptop and computer keyboards get that finger oil smudge after using it for a long time? I've had my laptop for a little over a month and it already started doing that after like 3 weeks. The matte finish is also really prone to visible finger smudges. Personally, this isn't a huge problem for me, just wipe it done and its solid - but I figured I might as well add it in this review since some people might want to know.
Also, this laptop is good for some gaming. I spent a few hours playing Witcher: Enhanced Edition on Steam, and it performed quite well. I have not however, tried playing more intense games I guess you could say, like Rise of the Tomb Raider or online games like LoL or Overwatch. Even though I had the laptop plugged into speakers most of the time, when I didn't have them plugged in, the audio was good.
Battery life is awesome - the longest I went without charging it was about 13 hours and a full charge takes about 1h30m. I was doing a project for school online (which meant I had a million tabs open on Chrome) so I was busy switching from one app to another, as well as doing a lot of research.
This laptop is also super light - I was not expecting that in the slightest. Considering how light it is, its good for taking to school or work.
Overall I think the laptop is very good, obviously there are a few things that could be improved here and there (play/pause button) but all in all I'm very glad that I made this purchase.
