Quality Build, User Interface Opportunities

This oven appears to be well built and we love the french door access. The exterior finish is paint (or stainless), but it looks nice. The ball bearing rack is really nice and the enameled interior and racks should hold up well. The oven lights are bright and fill the space well. The cooling fan is fairly quiet, but it makes lots of little relay clicks as it cycles the different elements on and off. Overall we like it and it works well, but it has a few things that could be improved. First off, the temperature seems to be on the hot side by about 20 degrees. A well trusted oven thermometer agrees it runs hot. This can be adjusted later if we decide to. I expected much tighter control on a higher end digital appliance. While the digital user interface works, it feels somewhat basic. We're all used to customizing our smart phones so my expectations are probably higher than necessary. But there is an entire "button" on the main screen for Smart Home instructions that you'll use once maybe. I have to touch "more" for page 2 to see more useful features like Air Fry. I'd like to be able to reorder or hide the buttons that aren't needed for normal use. The timers are very basic, kitchen, bake time, start time. I'd like to see advanced timer options for multi-temp bake cycles - ex: 425 for 15 min then 350 for 30 min (pumpkin pie). The Favorites button is pretty much useless. It saves a bake mode and temp. It takes two clicks to load a favorite and you can't name it. It takes two clicks for Bake at 350. Best thing is it sets its clock using the internet - so it's always correct! Maybe future version will let us change the background image or change the clock styles. The iOS app has a small subset of commands available on the oven itself. Basic on-off, temp and timers. It can alert you on many things. The Scan to Cook feature works for major mainstream items like pizzas and snack foods. The cable on the included food thermometer is on the short side, a few more inches would make it easier to use and place in a larger roast, turkey or chicken.

Absolutely Love my oven

I absolutely love my French door ge cafe oven! It is so easy to use and everything turns out so delicious and perfectly done. I use a wheelchair so I needed the French door and I got to say this is the best investment I’ve ever made! Only wonderful things to say!! We get lots and lots of compliments from friends and family.

Oven not working for 1 year and still waiting for

It has been a horrible experience built a new house and the oven is 3 years old has been broken for one year and they been out to service it about 5 times and still no luck I was promised a new replacement but still hasn’t happened no one returning a phone can even since I purchased a 5 year extended warranty and still unresolved, very unreliable company to work with
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fantastic professional quality

After loads of research, we decided to go with this Café oven. Once we had it installed and used it the first few times, we knew we made the right choice! Having been a professional chef in a previous career, I can say this is the finest home oven I've ever had! Being that we installed this oven under a counter, the french doors will be a backsaver for many many many years to come! It fits right in with out kitchen.

I LOVE my new oven! I have been wanting this for my kitchen for a while, but I haven’t had a house with a wall oven. I’m so happy that I finally got a house where I needed this! It works so amazing and the way the app works with the oven and my Alexa, it’s so convenient to be able to preheat my oven before I leave work so that it is ready for me to cook as soon as I get home. Highly recommend this oven!

During my kitchen remodel I wanted to add features that made cooking easier for someone over 75. The Cafe French Door oven was a wonderful addition to my remodel and support my goal of making cooking easy. Being able to walk right up to the open oven without bending over the door is a real plus particularly when using heavy enamel french cookers. Used the air fryer feature today and I enjoyed a deliciously crisp cheese sandwich. Still learning all the features (there are many) but having fun. Love my new purchase, is a nice complement to the conventional Cafe oven used as part of my side by side double ovens.

We’ve wanted our Cafe French Door oven ever since we first saw one many years ago. We love the way it looks and especially how the doors work making it easy and safe to get things in and out of the oven. We also love the easy to use digital controls and how it’s both an oven and air fryer.
