Delivery yesterday was excellent. Generous Capacity. Configuration was very good. Efficiency great although only in use one day. Features excellent. Smaller size ice maker saves room. Retractable top shelf to provide space for taller products on shelf below it is excellent idea. Layout of freezer is great. Everything is accessible. Love the stainless steel fingerprint resistance feature. Overall very satisfied in a short period of time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is for the 15 yr old GE frig that needed to be replaced. 4 defrost heaters were replaced along with their controls twice. Frozen water lines, poor ice service.... A constant source of troubles. Our food went into the 34 yr old fridge in our basement, old reliable. This new GE we shall see.....

Shelves and Ice dispenser bad design

Wish the designers would take into consideration the shelf placement and heights. You cannot put a gallon of milk or a 2 liter of pop on the bottom shelf in the fridge without raising the middle shelf. However raising this shelf leaves only a small shelf that you can barely even get your hand in, let alone put anything on. The top shelves cannot be raised and I wish they could. More shelving diversity would be great!
The ice dispenser makes a mess if your cup isn’t all the way up to it and the water Spicket for dispensing water is in the way to get some glasses to the top so the ice doesn’t spit everywhere. Bad design.

GE side by side fridge with bottom freezer

We like the size and the features of this model. Has an ice and water dispenser on the outside of the door. The bottom freezer is large and has the upper drawer for items we use more often.
The compressor was quite loud when we plugged it in, which was a concern. removed the back metal cover and found that one of the rubber support feet was misaligned. Other than that it was a breeze to install and to set up.

Don’t buy it! You WILL regret it

We live in a condo with 4 units, built in 2024. Two of the four are dead after less than 2 years. RUN AWAY…DO NOT BUY. One units ice maker broke & leaked, then the fridge turned to 21 degrees and everything burst. Ours just caused everything to burst after freezing. I ran all diagnostics, t1 - t14 and everything says “P” (passed) including temperature sensors. It’s also built cheaply…the steel on the pull out & doors is as thick as a Pepsi can.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New GE refrigerator

Bottom freezer drawer a little flimsy and doesn't slide in and out very easily or straight... bottom shelf in refrigerator also a little flimsy and sags in the middle.. i do like the refrigerator overall cools quickly and runs quiet... icemaker works great and quick..

When closing the freezer drawer, it takes a second nudge to seal all the way or it leaks and frost builds up. The unit itself sounds like a cell phone buzzing at times.
