Built in Keurig

We bought this unit as a replacement for our old GE Profile fridge. I really like the built in Keurig for hot drinks anytime of the day. In addition to using a pod to brew coffee, tea or cocoa I also use the feature to dispense hot water so I can brew my own loose leaf tea. Be advised that the hot water takes a bit to heat up the first time it is used and I had to press the 'brew dispense' button several times on the first use for the brew to dispense. After the initial use I have not had to do this again. If you use hot cocoa pods you do need to run a hot water cycle through the Keurig dispenser without a pod afterward. This will clear out any powder remnants from the unit. With the Keurig brewer you loose the autofill feature, which is a bummer, but overall this is a great fridge.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Impressive Refrigerator

I have no prior experience with GE Profile so I was skeptical. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised. It is very spacious and very sleek! It is quiet even when the compressor is running so I'm not sure what some other reviewers mean about being noisy. I love the bright lighting (fading off and on and overall looks). It is very solid and built very well. The ice maker bin could be a little bigger, but I remedied that with a spare ice bin in the freezer. It seems to be keeping everything at perfect temperature. I love the Keurig feature although I had an explosive episode on my 2nd pod. There was a blue strip of plastic film in the cup so I'm not sure if it was stuck in the pod holder. I will keep trying and report if I have any other issues. The WiFi and Echo integration are awesome but I wish it did more. I would definitely recommend this unit and brand and will definitely buy again.

Great features overall but one Keurig drawback

I splurged on this fridge for the French doors, bottom freezer and Keurig features. I have really enjoyed it. One thing to know, however, is that GE and Keurig did not work with anyone to create a refillable coffee pod that can fit the new Keurig unit in the fridge. I have tried several different types, but no luck. So while the fridge makes great coffee with K-cups and the dome-type cups, my old Keurig coffee maker I had hoped to replace is still sitting on the countertop because my husband likes to fill his own refillable pods with his preferred coffee.

Skeptical no more

We looked at several brands and styles before deciding to purchase this GE fridge. I was skeptical about the bottom freezer, and about the Keurig on the fridge (I felt it rather unnecessary and frivolous). However, this ended up being the one we liked the most, for the price, and they didn't have it without the Keurig, so we decided to go for it. We have had this for 3 months now, and we love it. The bottom freezer is more organized than my old side-by-side, and holds as much as I need it to. And the Keurig?...well, let's just say it gets used every single day, multiple times a day. And, it's wonderful to be able to set a schedule for the water to start heating, or tell Alexa to heat my water, or use the app from my phone while I am still in the bed, and the water will be hot when I get ready to make my coffee.
Overall, we are very happy with this purchase. I will warn any buyer, though, do not use hard magnets on the stainless surface, we have a few tiny scratches on the front now. I have read a few ways to "buff" these out, I just haven't tried it yet. Those magnets have since been removed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Well worth the wait

I purchased this refrigerator the first of May but die to Covid 19 I had to wait until July 22 for this wonderful machine. I have only had it 2 weeks but so far it is everything I dreamed it would be. The icemaker is in the door so there is no waisted space in the refrigerator itself. There is more than ample space in the door to store everything you need. We waited the 48 hours as instructed before putting things in the freezer but it was actually cold enough before that. I absolutely love the hot water and Keurig feature. The app makes it so simple.

Disappointed in reliability

We purchased this refrigerator as part of a GE Profile set (range, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator) in November 2017 and had it installed in May 2018. Since that date, we've had to replace the microwave twice and the dishwasher once. It now appears the refrigerator may need to replaced as well.
Over the years we've had to replace 5 of the LED interior lights (it doesn't seem like these should go out within the first 6 years) and recently we replaced the evaporator fan. Unfortunately, now the refrigerator won't maintain the set temperature. It varies between 37 and 41 degrees even though it's set at 36 so we really don't want to put food back into it.
The freezer seems to be okay, but I've really lost confidence in the GE appliances and am debating whether it's worth trying to repair this one. We have a Kenmore in the basement that's run without issue for 15+ years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Looks nice; huge

This refrigerator has plenty of room in the fridge and in the freezer. The cons are that the crushed ice spews all over the floor so you have to hold the glass tight against the dispenser; the water dispenser drips and leaves ugly water marks; the ice compartment door sticks and ice forms around the door - even tho we had a new door installed. The hot water takes 7 minutes to heat (although we were told that the second cup would be faster) - really not worth it.
