Love our new frig

Love everything about this new refrigerator. The built-in ice maker works like a dream, and there is plenty of space in frig and freezer. Runs great, looks great.

Fridge is working properly, but is noisy when motor is running and super noisy when ice maker is filling.

Disappointment for the price

Positives: the door hinges were easy to move to the other side, and the water line was also easy to install. For its size, it holds more items than expected in both the freezer and the main compartment.
Overall it’s quiet, though the ice dropping into the bin is pretty loud.
Cons: Not able to find a setting where items on the top shelf of the fridge don’t freeze, yet items in the freezer are kept cold. There is just one dial to control both the fridge and freezer. This is a very frustrating disappointment.
The next annoyance is that no matter how gently, softly, the fridge door is closed, the freezer door pops open and then (usually) shuts, but not always!
Lastly, unable to fully open crisper drawer that is located closest to the door hinges; it opens enough to pull out an apple but not enough to pull out a head of lettuce. The door itself gets in the way unless you push it aaaaallllll the way open and then there is juuuust enough space to barely ease open the crisper drawer
A quibble: the exterior stainless steel dents really easily. I have no idea what could be causing all these little dings and dents that are showing up.
For the price, it’s a big disappointment. Not sure I’d buy a GE appliance again.
