The newer model refrigerators run for longer periods of time to make sure the internal temperatures are consistent in the fresh food and freezer compartments. The longer run times may make the sound stand out more. On first impression the refrigerator sits down so low to the floor. You have to get way down to access most things in the fridge. Really rather odd! Accessing the bottom shelf on the door is almost impossible since its inset so far into the door. Lots of freezer space shame there wasnt more fridge space. The whole fridge sits too low. Come on GE is this your first fridge???

We have double-checked the specifications and this is a garage-ready model. Garage-ready refrigerators have been designed and extensively tested for use in a garage environment, performing in ambient temperatures from 38°F to 110°F. We see you had service out to check the unit and it was determined your refrigerator is operating properly. Please review page 5 of the owner's manual for recommendations on using the temperature controls. We do hope this helps. Vikki@GEA

Terrible freezer fluxuates 10-15 degrees

Terrible product. Won’t keep food frozen. GE replaced original unit but still having same problem. Temp fluxuates between 10-15 degrees.
