Very roomy inside, yet fits in small space.

Beautiful stainless steel. Bigger inside than I expected which is great. We have a short space for a fridge and wanted a freezer at the bottom of the unit, but did not have the extra inch or two required. Yet, we are really happy with the unit. Positives--looks great, lots of space inside, the hanging drawer in the middle is moveable to allow for large items such as turkeys to be stored in the fridge. the door storage is really large, yet does not crowd the shelving. This is true for both the fridge and the freezer. Negatives--we had an ice maker installed in the freezer as it did not come with one. the ice maker is tiny, but functional. it does not turn off automatically. the light inside the fridge is dimmer than our previous fridge. the freezer and fridge temp was a bit warm, so had to be turned up higher than I expected, even in the winter. Overall, I like this fridge more than our previous Maytag.

Very very LOUD

The fridge is so loud sometimes, I can't even hear myself think... I turn it off at the breaker to get a break from it at times as my living room and kitchen are attached... At night I can hear it all the way from my bedroom...

Please help

Although the GE refrig maintains the ideal internal temperature, it runs constantly. The new frig is set in a wall area that is suppose to help decrease the sound of the motor. I have notice that this particular refrig did not come with a son's barrier on the motor panel. As much as a sound barrier would help, the refrig still runs nonstop. In turn there is very little break from hearing the motor running. Especially loud in a small kitchen. I have not noticed other refrigerators with this problem or my very old refrig that I had prior was quiet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No light in freezer
