I have not travelled with the vacuum bag yet but did test it out with my 17" carry-on. I filled it with a week's worth of clothing then compacted it down using pressure and the release valve. That took a few tries but it compacted down far enough to stuff in a carry on that typically holds 3 days of clothing max. I would stick to just clothing to minimize the chance of having to open it for inspection, which would mean having to compress the contents again.

This rating is a little unfair as I haven't technically used it yet. But I was disappointed there were no instructions included and it looks like once you let the air out, it doesn't stay out as there is no way to "lock" the valve. Maybe I just need proper instructions sent as I may be doing it wrong?

Just received my first ever nomatic product. The material looks very durable yet lightweight and thin. Very easy and no frills to use. Hope to be able to afford more of your products soon especially the new navigator series which look awesome.
