This "scratch and dent" was basically brand new...until I dropped it down an escalator at the airport. Then, and only then would I call it scratched. It packed great and traveled well.

This thing blew past all my highest expectations. I've used Nomatic for years and this is my newest addition. I'll be honest I was a little apprehensive on the price as that's topping the market without getting something completely unnecessary and doesn't add any real function (crazy high end brands just charging for the name). But now that I have it I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one. In fact I'll be purchasing the checked version here shortly because I'm so confident in this one.
It's sleek, quiet, yet extremely functional. I love the zipper enclosing the left side, and the packing straps on the right surprised me how well they work and how much extra I can fit.
Funny enough though what I think I'm most impressed with are the wheels. They're completely silent and I've walked miles already within airports and they are crazy smooth. Hard to even believe until you use them.
Trust me - just buy this and I promise you won't regret one bit of it.

Excellent bag at a great price!

A co-worker recommended the Nomatic Carry-on Classic bag while we were on a business trip. I really liked the size and the capacity of it. When I saw the price, I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend that much for new suitcase, but then I saw the scratch-dent sale. I immediately purchased the Carry-On Classic and have been elated with it ever since! After using it, and being so pleased with it, I would have paid full price for the bag and would still have been just as happy! It is that good! I had to inspect the suitcase twice before I found any sort of scratch on it. The bag looked brand new! Extremely pleased would be an understatement! After 8 trips since purchasing the bag, I don't know how I would travel without it. It is so well engineered and thought out that I can't think of a single thing that I would change on it! It fits in all of the overhead bins (even the smaller commuter jets) and is the perfect size for 3-6 day trips! I have since purchased the garment bag, the messenger bag and the tech case. I love them all! I am a loyal customer and love the brand! There are 5 other co-workers of mine that also have Nomatic bags and we all love them! If you are having doubts about this product or any of the Nomatic product line, read the reviews, you won't be disappointed! This is a company that stands behind their product and it is engineered to meet the needs of its customers!!!!

Best travel bag ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used a Tumi carryon for 15 years and this nomadic bag wins hands down. I can abuse the bag on planes trains and automobiles and know it will take everything that happens. Love the compression straps and zipper locks!

Let me just go ahead and throw this out there. It gets scratched up pretty easily. I had to end up checking my carry-on in with American Airline. They scratched it up pretty good. BUT, I had all my wheels lol. My dad lost a wheel on his luggage because AA was aggressive with the luggage as they’re known to be. That’s with every airline though. Not just AA. So, please be prepared for the scratches. Now that I got that out the way…this product is great! It can take punishment. Just got back from a 7 day cruise and it did its job. It was my first time using it. I have three more cruises coming up. So, we’ll see how it holds up.

Truly scratch and dent, but functional

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] On a whim I bought a scratch and dent carry-on. I already have a Nomatic travel pack and I can’t say enough about how much I love it. So I figured that since I needed some hard cases luggage I’d give this a shot. I’ll start by saying that it is incredibly functional, sturdy, and well built. I have no doubt that I will own this for years to come. I suppose my only minor irritant is how many scratches and dents there were. I read a few reviews saying that their scratch and dent were “like new” with “barely any signs of wear”. That is not the case with mine. It arrived completely covered in dust and cob webs in a cardboard box. There were a ton of marks and after a lot of elbow grease, I’ve given up on trying to get them out. I have no doubt that these will be replaced by other, self inflicted marks in the near future. That’s my only minor qualm and, it’s on me, because I tried to save a buck with the scratch and dent purchase. I’m a Nomatic fan and will keep adding to my collection. This is a well built, functional and stylish piece.
