A much needed safety device

Since gopro decided it would be a good idea to remove the replaceable front lens on the hero8, its a good idea to invest in this. Keep your gopro safe from the knuckleheaded delicious of gopro marketing.

A good product with fundamental flaws.

It does its job to protect the camera and screen but there is really no reason why GoPro couldn't have added a lanyard connection point as is present in the standard Silicone Sleeve, it's possible to attach a lanyard to the GoPro mounts at the bottom of the camera but then it takes some time to remove it if you want to mount the camera to an attachment. Another small flaw is that the removable screen protector falls out every time you try to install or remove the GoPro from the sleeve (which you'll have to do to charge/replace battery/download footage), that in itself is not a complete deal breaker but it does get annoying after a while.

Poorly Secured Lens Cover

Lens cover is only held on by weak silicon and easily rips out right when you need it to stay in place. Walked out of a small mountain bike stack with a scratched lens, not sure what the point is of the lens being replaceable/removable when a replacement lens costs 2/3 of the cost of the whole roll cage anyway. Useless product

Man erkennt daran, dass GoPro das Glas extra verkauft, dass dies ein Teil ist, was Ruck-Zuck weg ist. Mir ist beim Abziehen der Schutzhülle nicht aufgefallen, dass das Glas abgefallen ist. Ich habe es immer befürchtet, dass das passiert und Schwups muss ich ein überteuertes Ersatzteil neu kaufen.
Das gleiche befürchte ich wird bei der GoPro 8 und dem Akkudeckel passieren, der leider total fehlkonstruiert ist.
