I'm still unsure about how I feel about the 40L Travel Bag, but that is mostly because I have traveled years with a roller bag.
Since receiving my 40L Travel Bag, I have been on 8 different flights. I think I like the convenience of a roller bag because you don't have to carry so much weight on your back/waist. I've been experiencing lower back pains, so not sure if that has to do with traveling with the bag.
That being said, I do like the build of the 40L Travel Bag. The material seems durable. I enjoy the robustness of the zippers. The side compartment with all the electronic sub-compartments is super helpful.
However, I think the shoe compartment can be deceiving, in terms of total storage space in the main compartment. After storing shoes, the main compartment's volume reduces a lot.
I also think that using packing cubes is essential with the 40L Travel Bag.
I'll be traveling heavily over the next few months, so perhaps I'll have a different opinion then.

OK, I'll be THAT guy. The construction and materials are excellent but there's way too many zippers and hidden pockets. I'm going to find it easy to lose things in this bag.

Don't waste your money on

Don't waste your money on the 40L bag. I bought it a few years ago and thought it was a great bag. I was able to carry everything I needed for a 6-7 day trip including extra shoes. After the 4th trip when I wear it on my back, it starts to fold and sharp corners stab you in the back. It can't be worn for more than a few minutes. I would've much rather bought a rolling carry on because it would still be a good investment. I don't know if it was worth the investment. On one hand I saved from having to pay for a checked bag but only got 4-5 trips out of it. I went ahead and purchased an Away carry-on from my next few trips

Exceeded expectation! Hace used for several trips between 7-10 day. Paired with the trvael backpack on last trip and both bags was enough for 14 days. Only bags I will use for traveling.

This is an amazing pack. It was definitely worth the purchase! As a minimalist and a backpacker, I had no problems with packing everything I needed with room to spare! I love the organization in the side pockets. It feels like there’s a compartment for everything in this bag. It fits the Nomatic packing cubes perfectly. I can’t wait to use this bag for years to come.
