too heavy to be a backpack, doesn't fit laptop

It kills my back so I miss having wheels in the airport. If you made this particular bag with wheels it would fit my needs. Also my standard size laptop DOES NOT fit. The slot for a laptop is about a cm too narrow.

We do have a similar sized bag (The Navigator Carry On 37L) that does come with wheels and a handle. It may be more up your alley. As far as the laptop, we do list the laptop dimensions on our website for this bag so if your laptop is larger than those dimensions, it won't work out. I'm so sorry about that. Seems to be good quality. Strap for back pack are located where make it hard to get in and out of bag. Top insert makes aggravating to get to side pockets. But overall. Descent bag.

Greetings,
I took this bag backpacking in Thailand and to be completely honest it is too wide to be used as duffle bag and hard to maneuver being so wide. I would offer that this bag should be used for short trips and not for a smaller stature individual. I am 5'3 and due to it being so wide, I feel really off balance trying to carry it. Very awkward.

The quality is EXCELLENT though and the detailed features are incredible. While kind of a bummer on my 3 week trip, I can a bigger person this bag for shorter trips.
I do love the quality and am looking forward to trying out some of Nomatics other products. they look great.

Excellent Travel Bag!

We were heading to Portugal for 14 days in September 2022 and were reading about lost checked bags. So we decided we needed to carry on our luggage. I purchased the 40L Travel Bag. My traveling partner purchased another brand that holds 45L. Not only did my 40L Nomatic carry more items, it was much more sturdy. The square design allows you to easily stack packing cubes with no wasted space. The many exterior compartments allowed for quick access of passports, charging cables, vitamins, etc. The backpack design allowed me to effortless maneuver through airports, train stations and walking the city streets. Here's what I was able to pack in mine for this trip.
2 pair long pants
4 pair shorts
10 t-shirts
4 polo shirts
3 dress shirts
1 pair soft leather loafers
10 pair underwear
10 pair, no show socks
1 belt
1 rain coat
1dopp kit with toiletries
And I was able to add a couple shirts that I purchased in Portugal.

Fantastic bag

Bought this for my touring musician son as a present based on my experience with other Nomatic products. The bag did not disappoint, plenty of space, lots of pockets, a very clever handle/backstrap design. Highly recommender.
