So far, I'm 4 days into my first trip with the nomatic bag, and the number, size, and location of the various sections are complementary to how I pack and what I carry, so it's quickly becoming my favorite travel companion.

AMAZING. I never write reviews but have to for this one. I just went on a 2 week trip to Belize + Mexico and this bag was the perfect size. Considering I was packing clothes for warm weather i.e. shorts, tanktops, bathing suits, etc. - I could fit a lot in there, with 1 pair of sneakers and 1 pair of flip-flops. Even though I'm quite small at 5'3 / 160cm it wasn't too big for my frame and was easy to carry up stairs, throw into the back of cab or just have it next to me. Also, had no problem bringing it onto the plane as a carry-on on all short and long-haul flights. i fully utilized all the compartmentalization of all the pockets - the 2 pockets on the hip straps were perfect for passport and phone - super easy access, small wallet pocket on the lower right for easy access plus all the top pockets as well for earphones/sunglasses and other items that you just need quick access to. Loved the laundry bag as well. Basically loved everything about it that now I'm contemplating getting the other sized bags.
I've been searching for the perfect bag and I found it...
- size (small enough to carry on the shoulders but big enough to hold stuff for a 1-2 week trips)
- quality (zippers are strong)
- water resistant (outer/inner material is fantastic),
- compartmentalization of things (every pocket, compartment is exactly where I need it to be)

On my flight home, a guy asked me how I liked the bag and then I basically gave him a full 30min. rundown of all the functionality of the bag and told him - if he's particular about travel bags (like I am) then this is the one. I travel a lot so having a bag that has the easy/quick access as well as compartmentalization that this one has is a dream. Thank you Nomatic and well done - I've been searching for a bag like this for the past 20 years while I've been traveling around the world. You have a loyal customer for life.

Initial thoughts after two usages

Initial thoughts after two usages are that bag is really well made with all of the listed compartments. Minor downside would be that the book pocket is pretty small, so you will need a pocket book or notebook to use it, but not the end of the world (I don't travel with a water bottle too often so I may use that pocket instead). As expected, everything is pretty stiff when using it for the first two times, so I am really looking forward to breaking this in over the next few months and finding new uses for each storage area!
