It’s a nice sturdy bag. I like all the different compartments and the ease of attaching it to a roller bag. I thought I would like the shoulder straps that easily turn into a carry strap but it’s actually just a lot of straps that end up getting in the way when you have the large pocket open. The shoulder straps end up being a nuisance when using the large zipper. The overall concept is great but I think it could still be improved.

Expected more from this backpack

Expected more from this backpack for the price. The lining feels and looks cheap. I get that it’s waterproof but it just feels cheap. The storage was no better than my Samsung backpack.
Shoe compartment is cool but it will then take up half of the backpack storage.

Ultimately, I like this bag. I’d prefer to give a 3.5.
This bag is obviously made for men. I get it, it’s not made for women. Fair. That said, I think both men and women could benefit from the bag sitting higher on the back. It’s a big bag, so a higher weight distribution, like a hiking backpack, seems logical. I had my 6’ male friend carry this around, and he had the same issue: when carrying as a duffel bag, it’s a little cumbersome. It hits you in the leg, quite awkwardly, moreso if you’re a 5’3” female, but also if you’re an average sized male. Not sure if there could ever be a fix for it because the dimensions are great - just not ideal for carrying with the hand strap. The zippers are not as heavy duty as I’d expect. They held together fine when I checked my bag, but seem a little weak. Someone mentioned the bag easily scuffs. I noticed this as well, but it doesn’t bother me.
Anyway, overall the bag is great and I don’t regret purchasing. I took it on a 2 week trip to Bangkok and Siem Reap, and it fit everything perfectly. Well thought out.
I read some criticism about how the shoe pouch and the wet clothes pouch take up space... obviously they take up space. The benefit is that it’s a separate compartment for smelly shoes and/or wet bathing suits. They don’t magically create space in a bag with set dimensions.
Good bag. Would buy again.
