I rate it above average as you are able to pack a good deal of material. I don’t rate it higher as I found it cumbersome and bulky. Perhaps predictable as you would anticipate the more you pack the heavier the bag is going to be. A good alternative as long as you factor in how heavy the pack is to travel with.

Of all my Nomatic bags, this one has gotten the least use but the amount of stuff I fit in it for a 5 day trip across the country was amazing! Large enough to carry my load and perfect carry on. Go to my destination on a rainy day and had no issues with anything getting wet. Even when I set it down on the ground. Amazing bag!!!

The bag was just the right size for a 5 day work trip I had to three different cities and climates. I was able to bring enough clothes for the trip as well as a pair of dress shoes and sandals. Seriously couldn't believe how much i got into it. I was able to bring all my essentials too. So happy i went with the 40L. Only thing i wish was that i could have the shoe section vent like the 30L and that their was an option to have the retracting key holder like the travel pack.
5 pairs of boxer briefs. Three dress shirts, a blazer, a pair of soccer pants, a pair of shorts, a pair of jeans, 3 pairs of dress socks, 4 pairs of athletic socks, 5 tee shirts, a light jacket, size 11 oxfords, size 11 sandals, my dopp kit.
I also brought my MacBook air, charger, two iPhone chargers with 6ft cables, a 30000mah battery, over the ear noise cancelling headphones, a bunch of alcohol wipes (for the corona of course), my passport, my bible, my notebook, 50 business cards, 8 granola bars, my wireless earbuds and my messenger bag for while I was going to meetings.
Needless to say this thing is amazing. I agonized over which brand bag to get and then once I landed on Nomatic which size. I'm very happy that i got the 40L as its going to completely replace my carryons (roller and Duffle). May end up getting my wife one as well.
