It's a nice bag but

It's a nice bag but needs some design improvements in a few areas. The magnetic shoulder strap connections can disconnect if you're picking up the bag from the floor or a car seat when the bag is laying down. This has happened to me three times already. Additionally, since the magnetic strap connections rotate around, the strap gets twisted easily. To straighten it out, you have to either figure out which way to rotate it back or disconnect it (this isn't always as easy as it seems). Finally, the largest pocket closest to the front has issues when the zippers go around the top corners on both sides. They don't slide smoothly around the curve at all. The material on either side seems to pinch the corners together for just this pocket as the other large pockets don't have this issue. This has the potential to make this zipper wear out over time in those spots. I really like the material and feel that the contents are safe from bad weather, which is very important when I've got my laptop in it. I also like the shoulder strap pad - this doesn't move on my shoulder once it's there, which is great. I really dislike having to frequently adjust or re-apply a shoulder strap while I'm walking, and this doesn't happen with this bag. I also like the magnetic side pockets. They grip what I put in them nicely.

It was a little to wide at 5 inches. It has a lot of nice, thought out features though. It would be cool to have a splash of color. All black was kind of boring.

It's a very attractive and highly functional bag. It is a great replacement for a briefcase but is a little small as a replacement for a traditional messenger bag. Also a Messenger bag typically has a strap that is more ergonometric across the chest whereas this strap feels more designed as a traditional shoulder strap and so is less comfortable when worn as a messenger. I purchased it as a replacement for a messenger bag and plan on using it for work (I commute via motorcycle) since it beautifully replaces the briefcase. The loss of 1 star is the lack of full messenger bag functionality/comfort. Still a wonderful bag..
