I would easily give this

I would easily give this 5 stars if it wasn’t for the strap. It needs a redesign and should be offered to all who purchased this bag. The strap twists very easily to the point where I need to unravel it almost daily and the shoulder pad on strap slips off my shoulder easily. As for the bag...it is fantastic. I love all of the features, pockets and storage options.

Purchased new style. Overall bag is nice but the front pocket of the bag is unfinished with open threading and lining. Also there is a piece of foam that isn’t behind a fabric panel but just inside the pocket.

I just started using this bag for work travel and it's great. it's compact to carry but I can fit everything I need given the efficient design. I switched from a Tumi briefcase and am so glad I found this bag for my work meeting and travel needs.

Ok only Backed the Kickstarter

Ok only
Backed the Kickstarter project for this. Overall, it is an ok product but there are too many issues for me to recommend it.
Issues:
1. Sub-par materials – Exterior feels sturdy (obviously not a fabric, but I knew that), but already has picked up some very visible scratches in light usage.
Interior material/lining feels and looks very cheap/flimsy (it looks like this has been updated in the latest version (which looks more textured and heathered).
2. Shoulder strap gets twisted all the time.
3. Shaping/proportions do not work well, especially for carrying documents and papers. Laptop and tablet compartment becomes quite tight even with a relatively slim PC and there is barely room for a few sheets of paper in the document sleeve. Front pocket bulges out even with only moderate amount of items. In contrast, it is difficult to use all the room in the main compartment.
4. Surprisingly hard against the body with a laptop inside, despite the padding (other bags without padding are a lot more comfortable).
5. Appearance: Does not look as slick in real life/in person as it does on screen. Ok for casual use but not really suitable for a professional environment.
6. Slightly heavy, given that the materials are not really heavy duty.
7. Retractable key leash is a good idea, but location makes it difficult to use and mechanism is not very smooth.
8. Glasses case looks cheap/finish is sub-par. Also does not fit well into the internal mesh pocket.

2. Phone/valuables pocket at the top is very useful (but should be slightly larger for big phones).
3. Organization in the front compartment is good/works well for me.

I have given up on using as a work bag and am now using it as a makeshift camera and/or drone carrier. A bit disappointing and I expected more from Nomatic.

Loved the functionality of this

Loved the functionality of this bag, but it was too bulky and unforgiving for my taste. I wear messenger bags on my hip and this didn't feel right. Two people in my family have the backpack from Nomatic so I just swapped this bag out for the backpack. Love the quality and functionality of this brand!
