Comfortable to carry, durable and

Comfortable to carry, durable and just enough capacity for my needs without being too big. everything is great, except the shoulder strap design, which in my opinion is awful. Given that the ends rotate freely 360°, I've found that this means the strap is twisted 100% of the times I pick the bag up.

This bag is okay. The strap is a little over engineered, but still very twisty. They need a 360 degree rotating swivel. The bag kind of folds flat, but not like the timbuk2 tsa commander that I was replacing. The bag is very rigid, which is good for protection, but it’s tough to zip it closed when it’s really full. The zippers are tough to pull even if the bag is empty. The magnetic water bottle pockets are neat, but not really better than your normal elastic pocket. I wanted to love this bag, but I don’t.

I purchased the messenger bag

I purchased the messenger bag for my husband for travel because it was sleek, compact and perfect for his frequent overnight business trips.
His review:
When removing the messenger bag from the overhead compartment of the plane, the magnetic strap was unlatched due to the position of the strap and smacked the person in front of him. Why is this quick removable strap necessary?

Another gripe with the strap. As the magnetic swivel turns, the strap becomes twisted, so he’s constantly straightening it throughout that day .
He likes all the compartments and the look, otherwise, not an every day messenger bag for him.

Well i think that i provide a good review as I owned the first generation Messenger bag and loved it but it was stolen out of a car on a work trip in Oakland, CA!! I loved everything about that bag so I instantly bought a new bag. I love it even more!!! The new design minus the design (more solid black on the new bag) looks even classier. I noticed that they added another pocket in one of the compartments..... Love it
This bag is just terrific! All the pockets, full unzip capacity, the way the bag stands up, the quality, and the shoulder strap all make this bag incredible! Nomatic and this bag will not let you down!

So far the messenger bag

So far the messenger bag has been amazing. I was shocked that I was able to transfer the entire contents of my nomadic backpack to the messenger bag. After some sacrifice though I found the most bang for my buck fitting it without bulging the bag. The reason I only gave 4-stars is because I feel like with a product like this I need at least 6-10 months of use before I can confidently give it 5-stars. I did that with the backpack and the stitching on one of my shoulder straps unraveled requiring a constant tap fixing and the customer service person was extremely rude and told me it was my fault and that I would not get a warranty replacement for it. So, this 4-star review reflects some of my dissatisfaction from the previous interaction I had with this company. They tend to forget the little guys and are going after whales and keeping the big pockets happy.
Otherwise, I am content with the bag and will gladly revise my review in 6-10months when I have gotten some good wear and tear. Also, the quad-pay option was a big win for me otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to afford this bag.
Lastly, have you ever considered that your Velcro inserts are too functional not to use and thereby forcing the user to have to choose between the two. What if you made the whole main pick a velcro friendly place for people to create and set their main pocket with both inserts. Just a thought thanks!
