Unsatisfactory Door
on May 8, 2024
Posted by: PITA
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The actual fridge is great. Big enough for a one person family with lots of inside space. I do have an issue with the outside of the door. Upon my first wiping, it started to discolour with a very apparent stain all across the front. I'm having no luck removing it even with following instructions from customer support. I have yet to verbally contact them and that is my next step. Essentially I would like a new door or the correct instructions on how to remove this very large stained streak.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We have had this fridge for about 2 months and absolutely love it. Nice big freezer compartment, deep and wide. The fridge inside is so bright and clean looking. Love the drawers.
Very happy with this fridge. Love it a lot more than my old one!
I would recommend this to a friend!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Refrigerator was delivered under the Energy saver's plan and works fine but my preference was for split door which was not offered. Further there was no color option under the plan.

Functional and Basic

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Our old fridge quit and we were left scrambling to find a replacement. We wanted an energy star certified appliance and this one seemed to fit the bill. We were not looking for a super fancy appliance with an ice maker, water dispenser etc.... Really like the glass shelves, makes it very easy to see into the crisper drawers. It is quiet when running and a good size for just the two of us. My only thought for improvement would be it would have been nice to have a light in the freezer compartment.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Has so much room. I love it! I had a side by side before this. I thought that there was no way I could get by with this size and style. To my surprise, this refridgerator has more space.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This Fridge is a Frustration From Start to Finish
on April 9, 2024
Posted by: Jacks
Don't be fooled by the "energy efficiency upgrade" label! This Whirlpool fridge is a prime example of how new doesn't always equal better. Here's why you should steer clear of this model:
Flawed Design: Forget about customizing your fridge for your needs. The poorly designed shelves and lack of adjustable door compartments make efficient storage nearly impossible. Even a simple 4L jug of juice can't find a home!
Cheap Build Quality: This fridge looks and feels cheap, with plastic handles and questionable door alignment. Thin rubber seals and a bowed exterior raise concerns about long-term durability.
Food Spoilage Nightmare: The faulty crisper drawer air vent and uneven freezer temperature can wreak havoc on your groceries, leading to spoilage and wasted money – especially with today's high food prices.
Loud Operation: This fridge isn't exactly the quiet achiever. Prepare to be annoyed by constant humming and rattling sounds.
This is a downgrade, not an upgrade! Where's the well-built, reliable fridge of the past? This model is an insult to Canadian consumers, especially those struggling to afford groceries.
Save your money, your sanity, and your food! Look elsewhere for a fridge that actually functions effectively and offers features that make your life easier, not harder.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A Fridge Designed to Infuriate Canadians!
on April 9, 2024

from Toronto, Ontario
This isn't a refrigerator, it's a frustration factory! Where do I even begin with this cheaply made excuse for an appliance? Let's start with the frozen air vents. Apparently, this fridge thinks it's a science experiment, because keeping my food at consistent temperatures seems like an afterthought. Who needs a properly chilled fridge compartment when you can have a freezer that overcompensates and creates an ice labyrinth blocking all airflow?
And then there's the symphony of squeaks! Every time I open the freezer door, it sounds like a rusty swing set being tortured. A basic plastic hinge shouldn't require contortions and special lubricants just to function silently. Speaking of cheap plastic, the whole thing feels like it could fall apart with a strong breeze.
Is this what we've come to expect from appliance manufacturers? Apparently, gouging hard-working Canadians with overpriced garbage is the new business model. Where are the solid, well-built refrigerators of yesteryear? Those that could actually keep your food cold without turning into an icy battlefield?
Whirlpool, you should be ashamed! You've taken a basic concept, a fridge, and turned it into a monument to frustration. This is an insult to Canadian consumers! Save your money, folks. This fridge will only bring you grief and a hefty electricity bill thanks to its constant struggle to maintain a cool temperature. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere!
