It's an ok charger with a few glitches. If you are not in a rush the phone will charge in a few hours but you cannot use the phone while it is charging. Every time I have tried to use it while charging the phone always over heats. On top of that when charging both the phone and AirPods at the same time for some reason the charger will stop charging or won't recognize one of them while they are both on the charging doc at the same time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Constant random charging errors

Standing charger seems fine, but the secondary charging pad charges for about ten minutes and then flashes a red light to indicate there's some sort of problem and stops charging. Have to take my Pixel Buds off the pad and put them back on to start charging them, for another ten minutes.
Not fun charging 5 or 10 percent at a time and constantly needing to monitor and futz with it.
Shoddy product. NOT worth the money.

I got this for father's day gift for my husband since my son is still too young to buy a gift. Really nice design, and functional. now he doesn't look for his phone / airpods anymore because they are being charged on this at his desk!
