I agree with the review from Loved it until. I have gone through two of these and my daughter has gone through three. When they work they are probably the best I have had. So much brighter than the smaller nite ize lights, of which I have about 6. Only difference is the small ones keep on working with battery replacement but not this big one. Problem with all of the failures is they work for about 3 or 4 charges and then one time you plug it in and bingo. It won't charge. Seems like this is a recurring theme with other reviews. The latest two failures were less than a year old. I probably got them in March of 2020. I would highly recommend this light if that glitch could be worked out. Just a note; All the lights work as long as it is plugged into the power supply. The light used to have a small red led light showing when it was charging but now it is kind of amber.

To date I am on my 4th. SpoLit XL. 1. Leaked & eventually failed to illuminate. 2. The Snap-On spring clip opened during use & was lost. 3. Although attached to thicker ring on dog collar the spring clip again failed & was lost. 4. After examination, noted the spring clip contact is slightly recessed where it seats on the ‘J’ hook of the SpotLit XL STEEL FRAME. The redesign may preclude loss but hesitate to purchase again. Feel NITIZE must warranty for minimum of 1 year unconditionally. Including loss from clip failure. And noted only 3 colors illuminated, Red, Green & Blue.

Perfect for dark summer nights

Worked ok - but not really water resistant

The light is decently bright at night walking on dark streets. But you really have to be sure the cover is secure because otherwise the light isn't super water resistant. Mine now only works while plugged in - and that after cleaning some terminals in the micro USB port. I didn't realize this and only noticed the corrosion after.
Now, the device only works plugged in. It shows an orange light while charging with the light off (but doesn't actually charge), switching to a red light when the device is on.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Won't charge!

After only a few uses the rechargeable collar light won't charge. It turns on when plugged in, but once I unplug it - no matter how long it charges - it will not turn on. It's so great when it works... I don't think it's good for winter use.
