Loved it until recently

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This house is new, and it was important to me that my fridge was quieter than in my previous home, so I did some research and chose this model.
This week, appliance/home 5 months old, I lost all my food. The freezer was warm all my food thawed, but the problem was on the fresh food side.
First, it took several days to get a service appointment. So I couldn't use my fridge at a time we are all ordered to not leave our homes.
The tech found the fresh food coils completely frozen over. The self defrost intervals are very inadequate for humid environments. Seems a heater strip to help defrost fresh food side should be there. As an ex-appliance designer this is a major oversight in my opinion. Combine that with the factory programmed energy saving defrost intervals and I'm sure you'll see more calls in the near future.
So tech used heat gun to defrost my fresh food coils, which had several inches of ice on them, replaced the control board just in case, as and set my defrost intervals to every 8 hours.
So if I hadn't had to carry 2 garbage bags of food to the trash cans recently, I would have rated this product much higher.
Very disappointed in an otherwise really nice looking appliance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Compact but Roomy Enough

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I specifically needed a side-by-side counter depth refrigerator because my refrigerator alcove was near a room entry. This model was perfect and fitted my needs. I also bought an extra door drawer and I was able to further maximize space.

Nice looking

It is large inside and fits more in it then my old one.

Perfect size!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced a 15 year old Viking built-in with this refrigerator and it fits PERFECT. And, we are finding that the freezer is actually larger than the Viking - at least everything fits well with lots of room to spare. And the refrigerator has plenty of space with LOTS of light.
The ice and water dispensary on the door is a treat, however having the large bin of ice available in the door is a total BONUS.
Totally pleased with this purchase. Oh, and did we mention that is it very QUIET. Really, just about the only time we hear it is when the ice is dropping into storage.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this counter depth s/s online because no one had refrigerators in stock(covid) it has some nice features but I am sadly disappointed in the quality. It just feels like a “cheap” fridge. The drawers are hard to open and close, they do not slide smoothly etc. Had I been able to physically look at this fridge before purchasing it, I would not have made the decision to buy this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It fits

I like the idea of dual cooling and I think the unit will keep our food at an even temperature. Dual cooling does take away space in the refrigerator.
Great lighting in both sides of the unit.

I think it should have came with one additional small door shelf on the refrigerator side definitely space for it. The plastic door shelves seem cheap and like to pop off otherwise the unit is nicely manufactured. Overall I am happy with my purchase. Whirlpool just needs to upgrade the plastic shelf quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had our new side by side refrigerator for a week and so far we are more than pleased. It has a sleek look and looks nice with the other appliances. This is a counter depth model but still has plenty of room inside. My favorite feature is the measured fill option on the front dispenser. It will be nice to not have to hunt down my measuring cup when I am cooking!
