Whirlpool Duet Front Load Electric Dryer/Energy Star

I bought this dryer 2 months ago and am very happy with it. It's automatic cycles sensor dry every load. It is much more efficient than my old dryer. It has helped to reduce my electric bill.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I Don't Love the Eco-Cycle

We bough this dryer a month or so ago after our old one died. I would say in general it works fine. I'm not impressed with the Eco-cycle though. While it does seem to monitor the humidity and adjust the cycle time accordingly, things often come out damp in spots (i.e. pants waste-bands, heavy socks) We gave up on using it for towels and jeans -they never dry properly. But, for things like t-shirts, sheets, underwear, etc. the dryer works great. When you unload, the clothes are not in a lump in the bottom. They seem "fluffed", which my wife likes.My electric bill kept going up which tipped me off that the old dryer might not be working right. In the last bill, I saw a bit of a decline, so I think it's helping.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Flip Door a great advantage. Controls so-so

We have a small utility room and chose Whirlpool not only because of quality and features, but because it was stackable and the dryer front door was reversable. With less than 10 screws, I was able to make the dryer door left opening. Great engineering and very easy to do.When stacked, you engineers need to figure out out to put the dryer controls lower. A short person can't reach (we use a stool).

We bought this dryer because our ancient one died. I try to use the eco setting for the environment + to be gentle on our clothes. Glad that this dryer was well rated.

I've had this dryer for about 6 weeks now, and I'm incredibly happy with it. I was a little nervous that I would have trouble adjusting to the "computer-like" operation of it (I'm used to older dryer models), but it has been a seamless transition. I can't believe how FAST my clothes dry! We are a family of 6 (nearly 7), and I do a lot of laundry...this dryer has, no doubt, saved me precious time. If I have any complaint, it's that a couple of times, I've dealt with the dryer just shutting off in the middle of a dry cycle. It could very well be user error and I've been able to correct it with some experimenting both times, but I'll admit, it was frustrating and had me scratching my head. But, all in all, I highly recommend this product.

I bought this a month ago and I absolutely love it. It has definitely exceeded my expectations! I love the sensor for the dryer, then the dryer isn't running forever. Very cool feature. The washer and dryer are so quiet! I really enjoy the whirlpool products!!
