This is a great product and works great. It is bright and great for playing in the dark. My dog absoulutly loves this product. However, My one and only complaint is that the middle of the disk is not secure enough as my dog likes to carry the disk by the LED cover and she has learned how to pop it off every time! For this reason I do not use this product any more as I am afraid that is has become a dangerous choking hazard. I would love to see the company come up with a more secure version of this product. Perhaps a screw on cover would be a more practical version.

Thrilled to see a dog version of the Light-Up Disk

I bought this a couple weeks ago, and had to start off by fixing it since the solder for one of the battery contacts had come loose. Easy enough, and has nothing to do with my rating of this product. Several years ago I bought the Large version of the Flashflight Disc-O to play with my dog in the dark. It is essentially an ultimate frisbee, so it was a little hard, but my dog and I both absolutely loved it. It was the first I heard of Nite Ize and I've been a fan since.
Now, this frisbee is nice sized and relatively soft, but the top is way too thin and flimsy compared to the rim. The reason I brought up my old Flashflight is because it had some sort of fiber optic tubes that ran from the center light to the rim, and did an incredible job of distributing the light across the entire frisbee and rim. This one has ribs that run to the edge that are made of the same plastic as the rest of the frisbee and therefore do nothing to distribute the light. In fact the disc essentially has a blinding LED in the center making the rest of the disc impossible to see in pitch black conditions, which is when we normally use it. It would be amazing if the ribs to distribute the light were either the same stuff used in the large frisbee or the stuff that is used on the NiteHowl dog collars, and perhaps make the very center where the LED is more opaque so it is not quite as blinding and allowing the periphery of the disc to be more visible. With those design changes, this thing would be amazing like the large one.

Possibly the best night time disk

I bought 3 of this, and I am very impressed.
It flies well. As well as many of my dog competition disk.
All three, one for each of my puppies JoJo, Riley and Trooper is lasting and holding up much better than I expected.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Is there anywhere that I can but replacement piece

So the best dog frisbee I’ve found, flight, control, size & weight all on point. Light is great (or was), my dog has a issue with dropping his frisbee into the water dish after 10-15 run&catches he drops the frisbee into the water dish cuz he can’t let it out his site what so ever. So I’m looking online for somewhere to purchase just some extra parts- as easy as it pops out the frisbee I figured they could be bought separately somewhere without buying the entire frisbee over n over. Nite ize replacement lite

Dog Discuit Gone Wrong

I recently purchased the Flashlight Dog Discuit as well as the Glowstreak Disc-O Wild LED ball excited to have a nighttime toy to play with my Aussie’s. Unfortunately, the second time I threw the Discuit the cap fell off and light/battery pack flew out and went MIA. This would have been a great product if the light unit was a screw on/ screw off.
Secondly, the Disc-O Wild ball worked for a few hours and died. I replaced the batteries and the ball still will not light up. After paying $44 for both toys very disappointing for such high cost. I tried reaching out to customer service and left a couple voicemails but have not received a return call.

I've had this disc about a week and I LOVE it and my dog LOVES it and my neighbors LOVE it. It is very very bright- so playing in the dark is very cool- whether with people or pets. and as the other reviewer stated- you wont lose it in the snow. I like that is a softer material because my dog needs it softer. It is so excellent I am getting one for my sister.
