Simple design, fully functional

I've used many cam buckle straps over the years and these are by far my favorite. The buckles well built, the nylon straps are top notch and overall they are just thoughtfully designed. What makes me say that? Well, the buckle pads are color coded AND best of all.... they are attached in place. Why is that a good thing? Well, if you have multiple sizes all bundled together, the color coding makes it quick and easy to differentiate between the sizes. Having the buckle pad locked in place is a game changer in that it moves WITH the buckled when you winch the strap tight. Other straps that have a "floating" buckle pad all tend to move around when you tighten. The added bonus is that the straps have a size tag.

Strong and secure

For a recent research project I was required to suspend a 60lbs object high above the ground at several exact height (down to the centimeter). The CamJam system was perfect for me and my team's needs. We were able to confidently set multiple heights and not worry about slippage during high velocity impacts. At the same time, the ability to adjust the CamJam to the exact position needed was ideal. If it is good enough for research, it is good enough for anything day to day activities can throw at it!

works on light loads

I have tried several creative tie downs, weaving the strap in the buckle. Every time the strap slips. Sometimes more than other but always slips. Not good for use on a heavy appliance like a stove or fridge and a hand truck.

Started fraying on first use

I really should have read the reviews before I bought these. They looked sturdy and I didn't mind paying more for quality straps.
Used them for the first time yesterday to tie down my kayak and they are both already fraying ... don't think they'll last the summer. Was expecting better quality for the price.

Overcomplicates a simple device

On the surface, nice fit and finsh, but it's hard to load the strap properly quickly. If you load the strap incorrectly it is easy to actually open the cam instead of tightening it. Strap is cheap and frays quickly.

Overly complex and frayed

This is way more awkward to use than any other strap I’ve ever come across. Unnecessarily over designed and not worth the fuss. I threw it away to keep me from grabbing it out of my bag of straps. Save your money.

Holds tight and won’t let go
on November 3, 2018

I bought 2 pairs of the 12 and 18 feet for attaching kayaks to the roof rack a couple years ago. These were great and the whole time held strong. In my experience so far they don’t let go very easily, which is good until you want to unload. After 2 years of use they have been retired not because they ever crapped out but because it took me longer to unload as the friction from the small jaw space won’t allow quick removal.

Frayed Straps
on October 5, 2022

After one weekend of use the straps began fraying to the point of not being able to be inserted into the hardware. The fraying got worse with every insert into the hardware. Eventually got so bad that I had to cut off the frayed part just to be able to use and as expected the fraying started again once cut. I definitely expected it to hold up much longer than it did.
