Excellent collar for a dog that's mostly off leash

I bought this a month ago to use while at work with my dog as more of a 'just in case' collar than for using all the time. It's great, very low key and quick to grab if I need to have him on leash. The 1 missing star is because of the leash quality...definitely not made for long term, constant use. And as other comments have noted, you need to replace the collar if the leash breaks.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not the best size for a small dog but perfect for beach walks. I wish they had more colors and offered it in a harness (I bought two different sizes).

It's the perfect option for an off leash dog in public places! They used to be made by Rad Dog and those were extremely well built, as long as Nite Ize didnt change it should last year's.

We are on our third All-In-One collar/leash and think this is a fabulous product. The only reason we don't give it full stars is that it would be wonderful if the company would make it so that these could be repaired. It seems like a big waste to throw it all away when the line gets frayed and breaks...which has happened on each of the leashes that we've owned. Maybe the line should have a metal cable to make it more durable? Or there could be a send back in for repair option? Thanks otherwise for a very handy and useful invention!

Must have for off-leash dogs

I've used this product with my Heeler from the start. He is soon to be 8y/o. I really wouldn't know what to do if I couldn't get another one of these. It is the #1 item I grab for my boy when we leave the house. Prior to Nite Ize this was owned by another company, I only wish I could still get one in Blaze Orange.

Great for off leash walking

Used this leash for the first time the other day, and love the idea behind this product. If you walk your dog off leash, you will love this product. No more having to worry about trying to leash your dog quickly when other people/animals pass.
I do agree with a previous review. The wrist portion of the leash could be a little bigger, especially if you live somewhere cold and need gloves. Initially I thought the product might be too bulky, but it didn't bother my dog at all.
All in all a good product that makes your dog walking experience a little easier

Very disappointed with this product

The first time we used this it was great but by the third time the cord was stuck and it was unusable. It pulls out about two 8nches but then gets stuck.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
